Vehicle Detail

BARN FRESH! Here we have a 1931 Desoto 4 door sedan. This car features a 6 cylinder engine and a standard transmission. This car has been sitting in a garage for a vey long time and it is amazingly ROCK SOLID. The body on this car is near perfect with just some minor damage to the left front fender. and some minor scratches, There is absolutly NO ROT, even the floors are rock solid. The canvas roof looks to be original and is in excellent condition. the Glass is all good. the bumpers look nice as well as the head lights, but the chrome around the radiator has some flaking But that famous radiator cap is in excellent condition. The interior will need some help It is all there but the seats are torn however the headliner is in excellent condition, it also has the rear pull straps and foot rest. the instrument panel is all there and the condition is fair. This car features the mounted spare tires and they are all good even the miror is still on the left wheel. Mechanicaly the engine does turn but I can't get it running as of this time, we do have spark, and fuel to the carb, and the timming is correct but it just won't start. the brakes are holding presure and everything looks okay underneath the car. This is really a very nice car to restore . What a great project and you really don't see Desoto's it is a rare car. Please email with any questions. Inspection is available by appointment. On Jul-02-11 at 10:41:38 PDT, seller added the following information: ATTENTION ATTENTION THE CAR IS RUNNING! THANKS TO AN EBAY BIDDER WITH MORE KNOWLEDGE WITH DESOTO'S THEN I HAVE WE GOT IT RUNNING AND IT SOUNDS PRETTY GOOD. WE POURED SOME GAS AND OIL DOWN THE CYLINDERS AND JUMPED IT WITH 12 VOLTS THE CAR STARTED. I COULD NOT KEEP IT RUNNING LONG BECAUSE OF THE SMOKE FROM THE OIL& GAS MIXTURE BUT THERE WAS NO KNOCKS.
