Vehicle Detail

UP for auction is a well cared for rust free triumph TR-6 that has spent its life in California. I am selling this car for my friends wife as he passed away several months ago and she is now ready to let it go to a new home. My friend, who was a retired pastor, bought this car in July 2004 pretty much in the condition you see it in now. The previous owner had the car repainted in chestnut brown and refinished the interior with tan leather seats. The carpets were also replaced and the dashboard was refinished including new dash plastic where needed. The car has been garaged since my friend bought it and he only put 11,000 miles on it in the last 7 years so it is showing minimal wear since all that work was done. The work that has been done during his ownership has been regular maintenance including the recent replacement of all four shocks and rear springs. Prior to listing this car I was able to drive the car for about 20 miles to evaluate it, here is my summation- The car fired up instantly from cold with about half choke with no smoke from the exhaust. the oil pressure gauge showed 75 PSI at fast idle and when I engaged reverse it slid in smoothly. Pulling away from a stop all the forward gears engaged precisly with no clunking. When approaching 55mph there is a shaking through the steering wheel that goes away at 60mph. I believe this to be a front wheel out of balance. The car ran down the freeway with the flow of traffic comfortably (65mph) showing 60lbs of oil pressure and the temp gauge never going above 1/3 of its reading (outside temp 85 f) The brakes stopped the car well but I occasionally got a squeal from the front passenger side brake. At all times the steering felt precise and the car had an overall tight feel about it. As for overall condition I have taken many photos so please look carefully and judge for yourself. I personally think she is a nice car that can be enjoyed immediately and even be taken to local shows with pride. Please e-mail or call Simon @559 349 3109 with any questions before bidding. Winning bidder to pay for item within 7 days of end of auction or item will be relisted. Good luck bidding!
