Vehicle Detail
Up for your consideration is one 1969 Ford Mustang two door convertible. This heavily optioned beauty is powered by a fresh 302cid V8 small block, backed by a 3 speed C4 auto and limited slip differential rear. This car is loaded with features like power disc brakes, power steering, factory A/C (not currently hooked up), power roof, remote mirrors, am/fm cd player, etc. The only option that I can see this car was not equipped with is power windows. As I am sure you are aware, finding a restored, rust free vintage 69 Mustang convertible is almost impossible and if one is found, you need to practically sell the house to be able to afford it! This super clean, virtually rust free example is the perfect alternative for those who want the style and power offered by a vintage Mustang AND have the ability to put down the power convertible top and truly cruise in style... without breaking the bank!! The Mustang features a fresh 302 V8 small block, as well as a rebuilt C4 transmission with mild shift kit, a new convertible top (canvas, not the cheaper vinyl - cost almost $2100), as well as a bright and shiny "wimbledon white" paint job, all of which are approximately 3 years old. Also done at the same time, a new battery installed, an Edelbrock carb, aluminum intake manifold, electronic ignition, hooker headers with a complete dual exhaust system, an aftermarket transmission cooler, even a new fuel tank. The chrome is bright and shiny, all glass is free of cracks and "fogging", even the stereo sounds great! The car fires right up and runs smooth with a low rumble from the dual exhaust, she runs and drives down the road, accelerates, brakes and turns as she should. The car appears to be virtually RUST FREE other than some minor "bubbles" just behind and in front of the rear wheels on the lower quarter (see photos) as well as just behind the trim that surrounds the back of the roof. This is absolutely minor at best, as none of the areas mentioned are actual "holes" but worth notating nonetheless. The floors are 99% solid as are the frame rails, fenders and doors, hood and trunk lid. The car also has good carpet, the front and rear seats are free of tears and the dash pad looks great as well. All of the gauges in the car are operating as they should and the convertible top cylinders, hoses, and wires were all replaced when the new top was installed. This is a car that can be used as a weekend only cruiser/show car, or drive it every day! Please note, the car is currently over forty two (42) years old and is not without flaws, so please do not expect an absolutely perfect concourse restored vehicle. This classic Mustang is built to be driven, enjoyed and is priced accordingly as there are the minor rust issues as mentioned above, several small paint chips caused by simply driving the vehicle, and some of the weatherstripping could afford to be replaced. Although the Cragar S/S wheels were bought new a few years ago, one of the center caps fell off and has never been replaced. The two front tires are in good condition, although the rear tires could stand to be replaced. This 1969 Mustang is great looking, great running and can be driven anywhere, but priced to sell. I have taken MANY photos of this classic beauty, so please look at the photos carefully, as what you see is what you are bidding on. Please no tire kickers. If you do not have the funds or the intention to complete the transaction, then please do not bid. If you are looking for a flawless concourse restored muscle car, please do not bid. Sorry to sound like a hard ass, but I’m not interested in wasting either your time or my own. This car is being actively shown and listed locally so I can/will end the auction early in the event it has been sold. Also, if you want to view the vehicle prior to bidding, please email me at the address listed below.
