!953 HUDSON SUPER JET I am the second owner buying it from the estate of the original owner in 1976. It had 32,200 miles when i bought it i have put 500 miles on it since i bought it . the car has a 202 6 cylinder engine 3 speed manual transition WITH OVERDRIVE I use to take it to car shows and parades It would go 60 miles an hour down the road with no problem., I parked it in 1988 and haven driven it since . I got it out last week and put fresh gas in it and it stared right up and runs good . The brakes do not work any more and need the cylinders rebuilt. The paint is mostly original and is showing its age. The rear quarter were fixed and repainted before i got it . The old lady who owned it before would scrape the doors on her shed when she would get it in and out so she had them repaired . The chrome is still shiny but has some pits. The tires were put on in 1963 and still hold air and has good tread but are starting to check.Now the bad news there is some rust on the underside But this is not a rust bucket. The original cloth on the seat is starting to rot and the head liner has some holes in it also. The floor mats are in extent shape. This would be a nice car to restore or to drive as is . Include is the original manual , sale literature, flat rate manual .owner identification card , owners service policy,chrome and bright work care guide and a 1952 road test . On Jun-26-11 at 07:56:50 PDT, seller added the following information: I have had several questions about the rust , there is a spot along the right seam in the trunk the trunk is very solid as you can see in the pictures there a spot about 2 in in dia in the front drivers floor , under the seats are solid your not going to fall out or the seats come loose the unibody is solid as are the door post, I just want to make people aware that there is some rust and this is not 100% rust free. The reason im selling is because i have to many cars to take care of . And i started the bidding out at $1200 because thats what i paid for it in 1976. The car has never set outside or driven in the rain or snow since i bought it.
