Vehicle Detail

Car is on second auction due to unintentional posting violations. I had not noticed the location was listed as my mothers home and when I did, I was unable to change the location after the auction started. Also, it was the first time I tried to use youtube videos. I was supposed to embed them not link them. Round two.........! I will not end the auction early for an outside deal. This car was a bank repo my brother bought around 1975 when he was stationed with the Navy in San Diego. He used it as a daily drive until 1983 when it was stored indoors. It sat for 23 years until my brother gave it to my son as a project car. It has a 400 SBC, 4 speed, AC (compressor removed and scrapped), cruise (inop). Coming out of storage, the number 7 cylinder head was cracked, and the antifreeze leak caused the valve to stick. We took the heads from a 400 with 55k miles and it runs good now. The front end does not shake, but could stand to be rebuilt. The brake calipers, master cylinder, and wheel cylinders have been replaced. Clutch, I believe is a competition clutch as it has a very heavy spring load and is smooth as silk. Front sway bar mount needs repair. Hog troughs are sound with only surface rust. To see the videos on the car go to youtube and search for Littoralrights. I am comfortable with traveling with an SDC roster, coveralls, and a toolkit so I would drive the car anywhere. That is only my opinion, not a warranty and may not be right for you. Two years ago , I used the car for 6-9 months to commute 600 miles twice a month to work driving from Knoxville to Wilmington OH. Since then, it's been driven sparingly. My son asked me to sell the car for him as his 99 F-150 was rear ended and totaled two weeks ago and he wants to cash out and buy a replacement to get him through the rest of school. Car has clear title and has never been hit. This a a running and driving project car that would be very desirable given the fact it is an original 4 speed.
