Vehicle Detail

FIAT is back, selling in America! Own one of their classics that will become more popular with Fiat's being sold in the US. This is a1983 Fiat Spider convertible, just in time for summer! This is the Pininfarina model that was made for only 3 years. I bought this car from a seller in PA in 06'. When I got the car I had alot of work done to it by local professional mechanics. It's time to sell, because I have no time for the hobby and have a kid going to college. Here is summary of what has been done: (most parts came from International Auto in Virginia)Complete removal and rebuild of engine, replace all seals, gaskets, timing belt, water pump, rings, temp sensor, new plugs, wires, distributor rotor, clutch assembly, clutch cable,Front & Rear calipers, rotors, pads, front and rear brake hoses, front and rear shocksFront lower and upper control arms, left and rightIdler armFront inner and outer bearing sealsRadiator service and replace thermostat and fan switchSo now the car runs very well, mechanically sound with strong acceleration and nice ride. The canvas top was new when I got the car and is in excellent condition. The mileage is low at 64,283. I can not verify if that is the original mileage or not. I was told it is from the previous owner. I bought the car with about 63,000 miles on it and did the engine rebuild soon after. The body overall is in good condition. There is a small amount of rust under the engine hood where the rubber stoppers are attached. There is also some very small spots of rust around the edge of the doors on interior side. All fenders are very sound with no rust. The rest of the body is in excellent condition and the paint was new when I got the car. Overall the car looks great and gets lots of positive comments when you drive it around town. (I've been asked if people can take their picture with the car-yeah, weird but true) I loved owning and driving the car around town to do errands on weekends only. The title is in my name. It has passed California smog twice since I owned it. I have kept the car in my garage the entire time I have owned it in Southern California. Shipping is the sole responsibility of the buyer, however I will cooperate and be readily available on my end to make shipping easy. I had the car shipped to me and it was not a hassle. If you are looking for a fun car and you like to do minor cosmetic work on it to make it perfect, this is a great buy!
