1995 Mitsubishi Montero SR 205,000 miles in good condition for its age. My wife has driven it for the last 11 years. With seating for 7, it has been a good family vehicle and all-around work horse. We owned a 1989 montero before this one and have replaced this one with a 2002 montero limited. They are great SUV's! The 1995 SR is the most desireable of the "Gen 2" monteros (1992-1997) as its V6 has the most output of the series (215hp, 24 valve, dual overhead cam). Those who know them recognize their prodigious offroad capability with high ground clearance, high angles of approach and departure, locking center diff, air locker rear limited slip differential, 2spd transfer case, adjustable suspension, and multi-mode transmission control, 4-speed automatic with overdrive, auxilliary transmission cooler....all of these features were stock. This example was used as a family hauler only, never offroad. And even though it has a hitch, has never really towed anything of significance. Dark green over tan, with tan interior. Huge sunroof (the biggest I've ever seen), 3rd row jump seats, leather (some wear, but no rips) seats, full size spare, alloy rims Mechanically, it has been kept in good working order. No fluid leaks. 4-wheel drive works great. Items that have been replaced in the past two years include: alternator, idle control valve, new intake manifold (common on these engines for the butterfly valve mechanism to fail), front and rear rotors, brake pads all around, u-joints, rear sway bar links, windshield, battery (with new ground cable), tires (awesome Yokohama Geolanders almost new), rear shocks (no longer adjustable), fuel tank, transmission fluid flush, rear diff oil change. The items that are no longer working: A/C (compressor works, but no more R12 refrigerant), misc lights on dash, stock radio with cassette and 6-disk CD changer in rear, the power antenna was left up going into the car wash 2 months ago and broke off (motor still works), oil pressure guage (i believe the dealer gave me the wrong pressure sender), one of the headlight washer nozzles has broken off, but the pump and switch work fine.
