This 1968 Z-28 RS is a very rare car indeed with only 7,199 Z28's built in 68' and of that very few were ordered with the Hide-away Headlight RS package. It's been a PA. owned car that was stored and kept off the road for many years prior to my purchasing it. It has the Z22 factory chalk mark still intact on the firewall (see pix) clearly indicating the RS option pkg. Sorry I have no original paperwork for the car. The car runs strong and can be driven. If you have been searching for a real 1968 Camaro Z-28 RS that is priced to sell before the price goes up drastically once it goes the body shop for complete body restoration then please pay careful attention to the details of this eBay exclusive private seller event. The Details; This 1968 Z-28 RS Camaro has been repainted twice in its life once in green and now currently red. It was originally a rarely seen Bronze according to the trim code. The body has its original panels and is very straight but has typical of this area issues. It needs rear quarters the doors are good, front fenders need some minor repair but overall a n easy body to do up with minimal effort. It has solid trunk pan, nice solid rails and the floors are solid except for a small spot in the drivers toe board area (very minor). All the glass, chrome, stainless trim, emblems are in good shape. The car has front and rear spoiler package as well. The interior is in very nice overall original condition and only needs a new carpet set and headliner. There is a correct factory console with rally gauges and the factory original 4 speed. It has all the sweet options you could want from bucket seats, 4 speed with an original factory console with gauges, full power steering, power disc brakes, and so much more. Under the hood is the 1968 date coded original 302 V-8 small block with correct heads, intake and correct DZ 4 barrel carb. The Mechanicals; The heart of this 1968 Camaro Z-28 RS is it’s factory date coded 302 V-8. When it was rebuilt prior to my ownership the front pad was decked which can be restamped. It has the correct date coded heads, correct DZ four barrel carb, correct intake, and more. The 4 speed transmission #'s matches vin numbers of the car. The 12 bolt posi-rear is the correct original date coded rear. Recent mechanical work includes new brake systems, exhaust, major tune-up, belts, hoses, battery and much more. It runs strong.
