Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is a 1992 Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser with optional 5.7 Liter (350 Cu. In.) Fuel Injected V-8. Last year for this model. Last rear wheel drive Olds. Only year that the 5.7 engine was available. Texas car all its life until recently. I am 3rd owner of this wonderful car! First family that owned it was into Oldsmobiles and bought it when they knew this would be the last full-sized V8 wagon offered. I got it from the second owner. He is an Oldsmobile collector, and basically he traded it to me for a vintage Olds with super low miles that I was selling out of my collection. I have since been using it on a few trips and in my E-bay business (taking packages to Post Office, UPS etc, as well as attending shows for the business). I have been steadily averaging 22MPG local driving, and 25-26MPG interstate driving on regular 87 octane gas! Why have an "Econobox" when you can get this kind of MPG with a "REAL CAR"? Best of all, this car has only had 54,000 actual miles since new! I will apologize in advance; when the photos were taken, there had recently been some wind and rain. It is also pollen season so you will see some leaves and dust on the car. I will assure you that in person when car is clean, the original blue paint is still nice and glossy! In addition to the standard equipment listed, this car has the trailer towing package which includes a 3.23 ratio limited slip differential and an engine oil cooler. The car never had a hitch of any kind installed. As the pictures show, the interior has no defects of any kind (rips, tears, holes, cigarette burns, etc.) The original carpeted floor mats are still in place (these snap to the carpet). The exterior has original paint. It holds a nice glossy shine. Like any used car, there are some minor door dings and scratches here and there. These small items have been touched up with an artists brush by me. Car has not been wrecked. No bodywork ever. The hood shows some checking likely due to the heat exposure in Texas summers. However, even at that, the paint and color is not faded or washed out looking. It all still retains a nice gloss and color. I have just tried to "nitpick" everything I could. Overall, this car looks great and it is very obvious that is has been well cared for, garaged, and pampered all its life! The car has had tires replaced 4500 miles ago, and has unmarked, super nice factory alloy wheels, A new radiator (due to a leak), new hoses, new thermostat and coolant flush. It always runs in the normal range. It has a NEW AC Delco A/C Compressor, premium serpentine belt and has been converted to 134a. There are no motor oil or transmission fluid leaks. The differential was recently serviced as was the fuel filter. I have receipts for the work done. It comes with an original owner's manual and a shop manual. Car has the following options: 1. 350 (5.7 liter) fuel injected V8 2. Automatic Overdrive 3. Full Power (Brakes, Steering, Windows, Locks, Seat, Mirrors, Tailgate Release) 4. COLD AC (just rebuilt and converted to 134A) 5. Trailering package with Heavy-Duty cooling and suspension and 3.23 limited slip 6. Alloy Wheels 7. AM/FM/Cassette 8. 3rd Row Seat 9. Cruise Control 10. Tilt Steering Wheel 11. Rear Wiper & Defroster 12. Also, as a throwback to the "Vista-Cruiser" wagons of the 60s and 70s, this car has a skylight roof tinted window similar to those vintage Olds wagons. Also, THANKFULLY, this car does NOT have the ugly wood-grain trim that always seems to fade and peel! Don't miss this 1 of a kind wagon! These are VERY RARE, especially with a 350! I would drive it anywhere! In fact I just had it on a 700 mile business trip last week with no issues at all! ABOUT ME: I collect, restore and fool with nice vintage cars from the mid 1950s to early 1990s. I have been in this hobby for over 30 years! I especially like all original, un-restored, un-molested "Survivor" cars. I will sometimes sell a car out of my collection to make way for a new acquisition. I also will sometimes offer a nice original used non-collector car for sale. Now for the rules: 1. Your bid is a contract! If you are the successful bidder, you are expected to pay! Please have all contingencies handled and your money in place BEFORE you bid! 2. A NON-REFUNDABLE $1500 partial payment is due within 48 hours of auction's conclusion. This can be by bank wire transfer or cashiers check. Pay Pal is NOT acceptable for this. 3. Balance is due within 6 days of auction's close. This can be by bank wire transfer, cashiers check or cash in person. If you are paying balance upon pickup of car, it must be cash in person. 4. Car and title will not leave here until paid in full with cleared funds. No exceptions! 5. Car is sold strictly as-is at my premises with no guarantee or warranty of any kind. 6. Transportation is the buyer's responsibility. I will try to reasonably help and accommodate you any way I can, but it still YOUR responsibility. This car will be at my summer residence in Upstate New York. 7. Please call me if you have any questions 704-661-1326. Leave message if not in as I am sometimes in and out quite a bit. 8. An administrative fee of $125.00 will be charged in addition to the bid price. This goes toward my advertising expenses, paperwork, temp tag, etc. It does not cover all of these expenses, but goes toward defraying some of them. 9. Car is advertised locally for sale. If I find a buyer through that venue, I reserve the right to end auction early. Please call me at 704-661-1326 with any further questions about this. I am sorry for all the rules, but it seems that 5% of difficult people spoil it for the 95% who are good. Thanks very much for looking! Again, please feel free to call 704-661-1326 with any questions. Again, leave message if I am not in and I will call back ASAP. NO RESERVE! NO RESERVE! NO RESERVE!
