up for auction is my 1960 chevy impala 2 door hardtop. It is truly a beautiful car. it runs and drives great.an older restoration , done about ten years ago ,the car still looks exellent. it has a very solid body ,the floors and panels under car are original and in exellent rust free condition.the eye popping house of colors candy apple red basecoat clearcoat paint glows like a neon sign in the sun. the bumpers are great ,trim is good (a few dings in a couple of mldgs) but all in all very nice. the tailamps are six 59 caddy lights with chrome bezels and look really cool.it also has lake pipes with stainless steel flames.the interior is white tuck and roll . the door panels are red and white, the carpet is red,headliner white .white tuck and roll package tray ,the kick panels are white,the dash is red , all are in very nice condition, the the trunk is also done in white tuck and roll with red capet, also excellent condition. this car is equipped with factory power steering and brakes(new power steering valve all brakes redone) it also has a vintage under dash air conditioner that blows cold. cruise control that works perfect. and has red neon lites under the car.the engine is a rebuilt 283 and it runs great.it has a new edelbrock 4 barrel durashine intake with a new eldelbrock 650 electric choke carb.new hei ignition and wires. new aluminum radiator with a new electric cooling fan to keet it running cool.it has dual exhaust with glass pack mufflers and sound great. chrome valve covers, aluminum air cleaner.stainless steel exhaust covers. new chrome one wire altinator, the transmission is a rebuilt power glide.(new u joints)beautiful 16 inch touque thrust wheels with bf goodrich directional tiresl, lowered suspention. the car is a hit every where it goes and definitly is an attention getter. it was featured in midwest muscle car magazine two years ago and was also featured on a hot rod calender, the car is a multiple time best of show winner and has won many awards.i have drove this car for ten years and has traveled to many car shows and cruises some 500 miles from home and this car always has been totally reliable.the stereo systym is a am fm cassette radio but in the trunk is a12 disc pioneer changer with a power amp .the car has been driven and is not perfect but still shows very very well .i have taken great care of this beauty. it is one of the best body designs ever made by gm .the economy combined with my wifes recent heart attack and bypass surgery forces this sale.if you are looking for a great cruiser where you can roll up the windows turn on the air set the cruise and listen to some tunes and have everybody checking you out this could be the car for you..if the buyer has half as much fun in it that i have had it will certainlly be worth it .good luck bidding any questions call 815 883 8116 days or 8153431110 cell
