The engine and transmission are original and run/shift perfectly. The 1200 (40 horse) engine purrs like a kitten. The transmission shifts up/down perfectly. The pictures don't do the quality of the paint job justice. This is a show quality paint job. The headlight eyebrows, vent window "breezees", and mudflaps are period correct and true Volkswagen parts. The interior is just as flawless as the exterior. The seats, door panels, and headliner are in amazing original condition. The rubber floor mat is perfect and original. The carpet was professionally replaced in 2007 with original German weave in the correct color. Seats are in perfect condition. The roof rack has been installed since 1998. Vehicle is located in the dry climate of Boise Idaho. No rust. Even under the battery. No accidents. The front/rear aprons are original and undamaged. Complete records for the car since 1998. Incredibly original car. Comes with the two original keys, Sapphire I radio (works), tool bag, and even has all of it's original glass (even windshield)!
