Offered for sale at auction is my 1978 Porsche 911 Turbo, Type 930. This car needs nothing but a driver. I am a private party. An enthusiast. I have tried to put together a comprehensive and honest description of this Porsche. Please inquire if you have questions. Do your homework. A 911 Turbo is Quite a bit different than a normally aspirated 911. There is, however, nothing to fear. the 1978/1979 type 930 is elegant in its' simplicity. No rocket science here. Just a very solid, quick, and dependable car.Basically stock and un-molested, the few carefully selected "enhancements" can easily be reversed to return the vehicle to OEM original. All original components removed are included with the vehicle, excepting the radio.This Porsche is a rust free California car. Zero rust. Exterior and interior are in excellent condition. Dash is un-cracked with very minor dishing. upholstery and carpeting are very nice. Car has been repainted. From 10 feet away, the paint looks excellent, closer inspection reveals the expected flaws.Mechanically, the car is in excellent condition, and ready to be driven. All cylinders test at 130 +- 5 psi. All new brakes. rotors (full floating), pads, ATE fluid, Stainless flex lines.All new WEVO Precision shifter. Including WEVO shift coupling and all bushings.Transmission has fresh Swepco trans fluid. the bestClutch replaced less than 1500 miles ago.Dual outlet B&B muffler, european exhaust.Pistons and cylinders replaced @ 40,000 miles (car was owned by the owner of a very respected San Diego Porsche shop)When the "marginal at best" air conditioning was removed, swing out rear windows were installed. summer driving is not a problem. "Porsche made its first and most significant upgrades to the 930 for 1978, enlarging the engine to 3.3 litres and adding an air-to-airintercooler. By cooling the pressurized air charge, the intercooler helped increase power output to 300 hp (DIN); the rear 'whale tail' spoiler was re-profiled and raised slightly to make room for the intercooler.
