1948 Oldsmobile DRIVABLE DREAM 4 door model 68 I have been restoring 1948 Oldsmobile Station Wagons (woodies) and purchased this car 5 years ago to use as a donor car for my next project. However, I now realize that this car is entirely too good to sacrifice and offer it for sale here. I have owned a total of 9 of this model car. This car is very unique among the others as fasteners can be removed and reassembled without any drama. I believe that this car has been stored inside most of its 63 year life. Check the solid trunk floor picture and underside picture. This is an amazing survivor car. It is not restored. It is ORIGINAL. 257 cu in flathead straight 8 engine. I recently removed the head, installed a valve and ground the seat as #7 had very low compression. Now all cylinders are 95 to 110 psi compression. In addition, brake shoes and wheel cylinders have been replaced. Insulation seems good on most wiring, all gauges work showing great oil pressure. Upholstery and paint are serviceable, but show wear. The car drives great. No smoke. No leaks. The hydramatic works awesome. The car is now located on the Olympic Peninsula of Washington state, across from Seattle. The car is drivable and has collector Minnesota plates. I have a transferable clear title. “Ask seller a question” and I will respond as quick as possible and give directions for a preview if desired.
