Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my 1975 Fj40. I was in the process of restoring it and no longer have a shop to work on it in. I hate to sell it but it will be some time before I get to do what I want with it, also I could use the money right now. The FJ40 runs very well and all lights and gages work as they should. I have a lot of time and money in this rig and all the hard work is done. All that she needs is mostly cosmetic. This Fj40 is turn key and I have been driving it for the past 3 month's almost every day with no issues . The Fj40 has ALL fresh fluids, engine, trans, transfer, front and rear diff's and breaks. She also has new rancho suspension, new master slave, new slave, new alternator, new voltage regulator, all new fuses, new cap, new roter, new plugs, new plug wires, fresh point's,new K&N high flow air filter, and new bucket racing seat's. The wiring harness has been gone through and all components have been cleaned and grounded properly. Engine runs very well with P.S.I of 149-150 in all 6 cylinders. The electrical system is in good working order, ALL lights work!! This is a one of a kind FJ , she has a new 200 cfm propane carburetor with all new propane kit adapters and hardware. She also comes with 3 aluminum fuel cell's @ 24.6 gal of fuel capacity . Tires are 32/10.50 A/T and are all at about 85% wrapped around aluminum racing rims. The rims are about a 5 out of 10 ...could get up to an 8 with some good hard cleaning. The good thing about this rig running on propane is that she is now fuel injected and it will never stall out no matter what angle it is at...you can learn more at gotpropane.com or just google the benefits of a propane running 4x4 and see for your self. Also GASOLINE is about $4.50 a gal here in ventura , I get propane for $2.70 and the m.p.g is about the same, so you will save a lot of money. Just don't by your propane at the gas station, you want to buy it at the propane dealers to really save your money. Call them all in your area to see what there prices are for (motor fuel) not your house, (hint) the smaller dealers like Triple AAA and West Star Gas in my area give you the best price. I have had 3 cars running on propane it's the way to go trust me. Now back to the Fj40 , the frame and body are solid, no major rust anywhere, and no body filler other then the 2 spots that you can see in the pic's. The passenger side is really clean, it just need's some sanding and paint. The driver side has had some corder panel work done to it (Green paint) you can see it on the in side where it was welded in. I got the FJ40 with no doors, no top and no back doors that is why the color is different. The person I got it from only had it a year and didn't do anything to it, so I don't know why the corder panel was replaced nor did he, but it was and it looks ok other than it has a few dents. The driver side needs a new fender, the one on it right now is bent and needs to be fixed or replaced, also the bib will need some work. The door's that i found were a by one and get the other free passenger door is great. The driver door is bent at the top and you will need a new one or try to fix this one, but it closes and works as is. The drivers door needs glass, right now its plexi. You will also need the hardware to keep the back closed properly. I recommend the weather stripping be replaced for all the doors. The top has new weather stripping where the top meets the body and good weather stripping where the top meets the side panels. I have new weather stripping where the top meets the front windshield , just haven't installed it yet. The intake and exhaust manifold gasket is NEW!! with NO!! leaks, however the little donut gasket does have a small leak even though it is new as well. I have covered all I can think of if you have any questions or would like to view the vehicle feel free to call me @ 805.340.2104 thanks and happy bidding...owe, one more thing this is the first year of the 2f 4.2 liter engine the miles are unknown stop turning last week at 19,999, she also has a power booster for the breaks, and it has a good strong 4 speed, also 1975 is the last year you DO NOT have to smog EVER. Thanks
