RECENTLY REDUCED THE BUY IT NOW PRICE BY $2K 1965 Pontiac Tempest Custom 2-door coupe with a 455c.i.motor w/66 tri-power and muncie 4-spd. PHS Documented as a Tempest - Please note this is a GTO clone and has been restored/altered, however, not many were made in '65. This vehicle was an inheritance from my father when he passed away. He had three restored antiques at the time, this vehicle, it's twin - a 1965 Pontiac Convertible GTO (Clone) and a '36 Chevy. When appraised in 2008, the report stated mint restored body condition with original interior in excellent condition. Recently appraised in 2011 as well to verify current market value. In January 1971, my parents drove away from the church in this car, only it was Reef Turquoise at that time. Later that year, they sold the car. In 1983, my Dad purchased this same car back and restored it as a GTO. Now Montero Red, it sports a 455c.i.motor w/66 tri-power and muncie 4-spd. He also added rally gauges and wheels, console, padded dash and rally II's. It has Mickey Thompson red wall tires. It is still a delight to drive! The original engine was a 326 V8 with a 2-speed automatic. It has power steering and brakes. Runs great, has been housed in my garage for the past 11 years of it's life and in my Dad's since '83. Driven simply for joy rides only. My Dad put a lot of time and money into this vehicle. This is a great unique vehicle for a great price! The only reason we are selling is for a down payment on a house. We would like to sell prior to our closing date.
