Vehicle Detail

1964 1/2 Mustang Coupe Running Driving Project Car: This is a true barn find “Early” D code Mustang. When I got it I think it was in storage for more than 15 years. VIN is 5F07D215661 Code from door is 65A K 86 29G 34 1 6. The D from the VIN means 289-4V Engine 65A =1965 with Standard interior K=Silver Smoke Gray Paint 86=Black Vinyl w/Black Trim Interior 29G=A Build date of July 29 1964 34=DSO of Indianapolis Axle Ratio Code 1=3.00:1 6 is for the C-4 Auto Transmission and F from VIN means the car was built in Dearborn, Michigan. This car needs a lot but has a lot to offer. It is a true 64 ½ car with most all the items in place i.e. Generator, Hood with sharp flaps, steering wheel, the kick down linage for the auto transmission and many more items (ask if you need more info). The things I have done to get the car road worthy are new brakes to include lines/hoses, master cylinder, 4 wheel cylinders, shoes, springs, clips, emergency brake cable, emergency brake handle assembly, 4 drums turned or replaced. New spark plugs and wires, new distributor, cap, button, new radiator, I also changed the wheels and tires when I drove it to Shades of the Past. And if you plan to drive it any distance I would recommend that you do the same, because the tires are over 20 years old and not road worthy. I also had a new dual exhaust system installed with flow master mufflers. New dash pad. You can drive this car home as I have driven it over 200 miles in the hills of Tennessee. All lights work even the glove box light! All gauges work and the car runs about 180Deg on temp gauge. The fit of the doors, hood, and deck lid are very good and sound solid. This car will sell with no reserve and starts @ $1795.00. Any questions call me @ 770-760-0012 or eMail them to me VIA eBay.
