Vehicle Detail
Hello and thank you for looking. I am the second owner of this beautiful bike and it is in excellent, pampered condition. Always stored in the garage and treated very gently. This bike has an extra set of sprocket and chain ring geared towards highway riding at lower Rpm. Currently, a mere 4,000 rpms will have you cruising at 70mph which gets over 50 mpg. With tons of torque to spare. Both sproket sets are included (this one and the factory original) and are in perfect condition with no signs of wear. With the odometer just barely flipped past the 5k mark, everything is in great shape with nothing to worry about for a very long time. There are a couple very small paint chips, one on the fender and one on the bottom corner of the tank. I have a new, unopened Triumph touch up paint, made specifically for this bike. The only thing it may need at some point is a new battery.. This is the original one and it seems to be working fine. I will have more pictures soon. Please dont hesitate to ask any questions. I'd prefer local pick up but I am willing to work with anyone who wants this bike shipped. On Jun-01-11 at 09:43:06 PDT, seller added the following information: I've added a few more pics. There is a picture of the front fender showing the paint chip. Also a picture of the lower, front, right side of the gas tank's paint chip as well. I also wanted to mention this bike has a 12v plug on the side for accessories. (European size) I do have a size medium BMW heated vest that plugs in nicely and works great. it does not come with the bike, but if you are a thin guy like me and it fits, I'll sell it for $75.00 (it was ($199.00 new and its still like new). Thanks for all the questions. I hope the new owner will be completely satisfied. The bike is awesome and somewhat of a classic now that this model is no longer available and its getting harder to find one with very low mileage. As for the color, It is called "Lucifer Red" and it is gorgeous. It is metallic and seems to look a little different depending on the time of day, source of light, etc.. but always looks stunning. I am only selling this bike because I spend too much time admiring how nice it looks in my garage and not enough riding. Also, with its tall seat height and hefty size, its just a bit much for me since I rarely leave town with it. Also, on the rear left swing arm, the previous owner experimented with bbq degreaser on the chain area. some of it lingered around a bold and dripped down. it caused a streak of black paint to come off clean, down to the shiny aluminum. It is an easy black paint touch up, but i never touched it. Other than that, I believe this bike qualifies for "mint" considering its age. My zip code is 18337 for your google map searches of my location. This is a New York registered and titled bike. But kept in Pa.
