1969 Westfalia Pop top Bay Window bus / van. This has been one of my personal campers. I have taken great care of this vehicle. It has front and rear sway bars for better handling (as if vw busses are hot rods right), has an extended sump for better oil cooling and more oil for increased engine life. It has a 1600 dual port with about 20,000 miles on the engine and rebuilt transmission. The clutch, pressure plate and throw out bearing where done at the same time. New starter, battery and alternator. Just tuned it up including oil and transmission fluids, wires, spark plugs and valve adjustment. This van will make it anywhere in the country, Fly in and drive it home. Mechanically everything works great, all lights, blinkers / turn signals, horn. Front headlights are European / German Hella H4's. They are super bright. All of the upholstery and foam cushions inside are new. All of the wood panels have been carefully sanded, stained and clear coated with satin finish. The pop-top rubber seal is new as is the white inner ring / seal. The center floor covering is 1/8 inch water proof textured rubber. It had a front tire carrier that I removed and welded the holes and had the front cab and front doors repainted. That is why there is a difference in color between the off white and brighter white front end. No rust other than light surface rust in a few areas where there are paint chips and a little bit on the front floor under the rubber mat. Nothing a wire wheel can't remove. The bumpers are perfectly straight and repainted. I had planned on getting the rest of the body work done and vehicle painted but I bought a Dodge / Mercedes Sprinter and did not want to put more unrecoverable money into a vehicle that I'm selling. This has it's share of nicks and scratches and is no trailer queen. It purrs like a kitten and is all there and very functional. The pop-top screens are intact and the pop-top tent is in great shape and has no tears. The front and rear brakes have 85% life left and the tires will make the trip home but don't have more that 1 year of life left on them. They are older and are starting to show signs of dry rot. All of the door foam rubbers are new and they are German not Brazilian. I have 2 spare rims and tires and an extra set of jalousie windows. In the dash there are 3 VDO gauges, engine temperature, volts and clock. In the dash there is a new Sony CD player with Ipod adaptor. Please don't hesitate to ask all questions.
