Vehicle Detail
NO RESERVE! HIGHEST BIDDER WILL WIN THIS JEEP!!! Up for sale is an all original 1979 Jeep CJ7 Renegade with a hardtop and a set of hard doors. Title in hand! The Jeep has the 258 straight 6 with an automatic transmission with the quaratrac option (all time 4x4 with high and low range). The Jeep is in original condition and has not been modified/changed since it was bought new. The Jeep still wears the original paint and decals from 1979. Not many of these are left! All lights including headlight (high and low beam), tail lights (pass. side needs a bulb), reverse lights, blinkers, and brake lights all work. The dash lights work but the oil and volt gauge lights work sometimes. The Jeep is very solid with the exception of some small rust spots on the outside of the body (pictured). Also, the driver side rear corner is dented. The previous owner replaced the front floor boards so they are solid. The rear area, where the rear seat would go, is very solid. The frame is also solid with no rusted places. The hardtop is very nice and has no splits or cracks, but it does leak some towards the front where it bolts to the windshield. The rear hatch also has some rust but does serve it's purpose and works the way it should. The hard doors are also in good original condition. Both windows roll up and down as they should and both open and close without and problems. The passenger door is a different color but could easily be painted back to factory color. The Jeep has a nice set of Cooper Discover tires with plenty of tread left. The 258 runs strong, but it needs a lifter (doesn't effect how the Jeep runs, just makes a light tick sound). Due to the lifter needing replaced, when the Jeep is first started, it smokes a little. The Jeep has a flowmaster muffler so it sounds great. The automatic transmission shifts smoothly in all gears. The Jeep could use a front end allignment and a tune up. The brakes work good. Overall, a nice original Renegade with minor problems. Title in hand! I've tried to list everything about the Jeep in detail. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. Thanks for looking and good luck!
