Vehicle Detail

Very hard to find '65 Fastback! This one is optioned with an excellent running 289, Automatic, Power Brakes and Air Conditioning! The 289 is a strong runner that has been upgraded with an Edelbrock Performer RPM Aluminum Intake, Performance 4 Barrel Carburetor and Dual Exhaust. The C4 Automatic goes into gear quickly and shifts crisply. Just a hint of a lope to the idle, nice deep note to the exhaust. This is a very fun car to drive, not a dragster, but plenty of power for cruizing. There has been plenty of documented work done to the car and it really shows out on the road. The car tracks well down the highway, nice tight steering, quiet inside without all the common rattles. The power brakes work excellent. Removing the drums the brakes appear to have very low miles on new hardware, shoes and drums. The power brakes feel great! The body is sound with very presentable, but older paint, showing some age. The driver's quarter was replaced a LONG time ago. There are some cracks in the paint at the seam. I would live with them for now as the car is still quite presentable. The only rust I see on the body is a small 2" spot along the passenger quarter panel at the front of the rear tire. Underneath the car looks great. The floors and frame rails appear to be in good condition. There is a small dent in the hood where the Mustang had a run-in with a baseball, see pic. Again, I think the car would be great for a driver and I would enjoy the car as is! If you are after a show car this is not it. The interior is in good condition with some normal wear. Carpet, door panels, upholstery and trim are in good condition. It is well appointed with a fully functional Rally Pac (factory option of a tachometer and clock mounted on the column) and a center floor console. Records dating back to 1992 come with the car documenting the maintenance and upgrades done to the car. These trace the cars roots back in Arizona then to Eastern Washington and finally to the Seattle area. These are very nice to have as it proves the car has been well taken care of and appreciated. Good, solid '65 Fastbacks are very hard to find. They usually fall in to 2 categories, either completely restored or complete projects. Nice, driver quality cars are a huge value and hard to find. Don't let this one get away!!! This car is FOR SALE! If you have any questions, please call us at 360-863-2241 Monday through Friday 9am to 6pm or Saturdays from 10am to 2pm.
