Vehicle Detail
Silver Spur Sedan Only 6,238 of this model built. Color: Dark grey metallic bronze. Mileage: 68,574 VIN: SCAZN42A4FCX13004 The Silver Spur is the factory original long-wheelbase version of the Silver Sprit—longer by 4 inches at overall length 17ft 7.5 inches. This gives enormous legroom in the back seat, making the car suitable for wedding service. The engine runs smooth, the transmission shifts seamlessly and the Spur is a joy to drive. Specifications: 6.75 liter fuel-injected V8. GM 3-speed torque converter transmission (original) with electronic selector. Power steering and brakes. A/C climate control. Speed control. History: We have owned this car since 2003; we purchased it from a dealer in St. Louis who had acquire it from a retired attorney in Kansas who enjoyed it as a hobby car; it had originally been sold in New Jersey and no one knows how it made its way out west. We had it inspected, appraised and shipped here to California. We have used the car for family weddings and special occasions, a little less than 1,000 miles a year. Condition mechanical: The car has been maintained for the last 8 years by the San Francisco Rolls Royce dealer using genuine RR “Crewe” parts. We’ve replaced pretty much everything that rotates on the engine including the alternator, brake pump, steering gear and A/C compressor. A/C runs frosty cold. The battery was replaced this year and the Michelin tires are 2 years old with less than 2,000 miles in service. The catalytic converter was replaced before we bought the car and it has regularly passed its CA smog test. Condition exterior: There are a few scratches and glitches on the paint, but the overall finish is bright and maintains a perfect shine and is original to the car. Chromework is bright and original. The Everflex top is original and has one surface blemish on the left rear but otherwise is in good shape. The car has been garaged the whole time we’ve owned it. Condition interior: The original leathers are excellent and supple; the carpets are immaculate and have been protected with custom-overlay carpets the entire time we’ve owned the car. The woodwork is fair for its age, with some cracks and splits in the veneers. The headliner is in perfect condition. The trunk carpet is perfect and original and the books and tools are in the trunk. Car is sold as is, we encourage you to arrange for an inspection.
