Vehicle Detail

To start with, let me first say that I understand that there is a lot of information in my ad. I also understand that this may be boring to the person who is just looking and not buying. However, for the person who is looking to buy and spend their hard earned money, I feel that there is never too much information. As to myself, I am not a dealer, just a (61) year old kid that loves muscle cars. For my work, I manage a Correctional Facility here in Maine and have worked there for over (37) years. I am also a respected member of my community. I mention this only because of the value of this car and so that prospective buyers will have some idea as to whom they are dealing with. Also, please check out my eBay feedback which is 100% after 724 transactions. Just some quick history on the Plymouth GTX. Although there had been numerous performance Plymouths, it wasn't until 1967 that Plymouth offered one model with all the necessary performance goodies standard, the 1967 Plymouth Belvedere GTX. Positioned as Plymouth's "gentlemen's" hot rod, the GTX offered stylish performance for the discriminating buyer. In 1969, the Road Runner gained a convertible and two door hardtop for 1969, which hurt GTX sales. The GTX received minor front and rear cosmetic changes, which included new rectangular side markers, and a new (but very similar) grille and taillight treatment. On the performance side, the GTX was now available with a wider choice of rear axles, and a Hurst shifter. Also new was the Air Grabber option, which consisted of dual air intakes in the hood with a dash-controlled shut off. The GTX came back for 1970 but in 1971 sales were down to just 2,942 units and this would spell the end of the GTX. The GTX would reappear as an option on the Road Runner for 1972. Production for the 1969 RS23L9 with Manual Transmission: 4,004. Engine Specs: 440 V8 375bhp@4600rpm, 480lb-ft@3200rpm Performance: 440/375bhp: ¼ mile in mid 14s at mid 90s mph. So let’s get right to this incredible rotisserie restored GTX that I am selling for a good friend of mine. He purchased the car from the second owner who kept the GTX for over 25 years. My friend owns his own body shop and restored the car himself. Additionally, the engine was refurbished by one of the top engine rebuilders in the state. I have to say, it ranks up there as one of the best restoration that I have ever seen and I have seen plenty. It’s definitely cooler than the flip side of your pillow. Nothing was overlooked and it definitely has to be one of the nicest original drive train GTX cars in the country. It looks, starts, runs and drives better than when it was new. The only upgrade made to the GTX was the addition of a new Six Pack setup. Don’t lament though, he has the original intake, carburetor and unsilenced air cleaner that goes with the car so it could easily be restored back to factory stock. I am not going to go into lots of detail regarding this beautiful GTX as it would take me forever. In stead, I have tons of photos as well as a video that will tell the story better than I ever could. Understand that there is a thick book documenting money spent restoring this car as well as photos taken during the restoration. Please note that the reserve on this GTX is far less than what the owner invested to resurrect this classic. Simply put, if you purchase this GTX, you have to know that you’ll truly be in “Mopar Heaven”. Let’s face it, how many of these GTX cars are left? It seems like all I see today on the internet are what they call; CLONES, REPRODUCTIONS, RECREATIONS and TRIBUTE CARS. I am not knocking these cars but my point is that it is becoming more and more difficult to find a real car. However, if you win this auction, that is exactly what you’ll get, the “REAL DEAL.” Now take a deep breath and look here for a video on this beautiful GTX: http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v295/dillon14/1969%20GTX/?action=view¤t=69GTX.mp4 Here is some of what this GTX has: · Rotisserie Restoration; · Rebuilt Engine; · Complete 440 Six Pack with Fresh Air System; · Rebuilt Transmission; · Complete New Legendary Interior; · Rechromed Bumpers; · New Rear Quarters; · New Full Floor Pan; · New Weather-Stripping; · Restored Gauges; · Restored Radio, AM/FM Conversion; · NOS Radio Woodgrain Bezel · Wood Shifter Knob; · New Seat Belts; · All New Brakes and Lines; · Restored Original Disc Brakes; · New Gas Tank, Sending Unit and Lines; · All New Correct Exhaust; · Original Recored Radiator; · Original Jack Assembly; · Five New Redline Tires; · Original Mopar Keys; · Restoration Expenditures Book; · Five Correct but Unrestored Magnum 500 Rims with Tires; · The List Goes On and On.
