Vehicle Detail
1970 Pontiac GTO, factory red on red car, original/number matching rebuilt ram air 3, original 4-speed trans, have PHS build sheet, car needs everything trunk floor, driver's side floor section, patch panel work around the rear wheel well, needs a new hood. rebuilt motor has never been started. I don't have the carb or distributor, original red interior and wood wheel needs to be restored, needs a lot of metal work but worth restoring considering it's a real red on red Judge with its original drive train. I don't know what the car is worth, so I listing it as a no reserve auction. I reserve the right to end the auction early, vehicle is also available for sale locally. Not for the faint of heart but I'm sure completed it will be worth every penny invested. feel free car me before 10:00pm at 910-494-7666, text me, or send an email to coorvette@hotmail.com and I'll get back to you.On May-18-11 at 08:34:46 PDT, seller added the following information: All, just to answer a few question, I'm a military member, I was stationed at Pope AFB in North Carolina back in 2005 when I purchase both cars, both cars stored inside at a commercial storage location 1 mile from my house in Cameron North Carolina (zip 28326) Because this is a no reserve auction the cars will not be sold locally until after the auction (I completely overlook the fact that it's hard to sell cars locally when I'm in Dover Delaware and the cars are stored in North Carolina), if after the auction the cars are still available feel free to contact me at the number listed above,I must give the high bidder a chance to purchase the car before I entertain selling the cars locally. I'm currently stationed at Dover Air Force Base in Dover Delaware. Thanks for your patience and It's always a pleasure talking to all the other gear heads out there. On May-20-11 at 16:29:07 PDT, seller added the following information: Here's the engine information intake build date G-31-9, Block Code (WS), Block casting 979991(5), block date H-10-9, Heads dates H-08-9 and H-07-9, intake G-31-9, for 1969 all ram air blocks were cast as 9799914, for the ram air IV they shaved off the 4 and stamped in a 5, seems a Pontiac employee grab a block stamped for a ram air iv motor and used it to build the ram air 3 motor for this car. please see added pictures.
