Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is a really nice looking Ford Mustang Convertible. This is a 2-owner car that has always been garaged and well cared for. It has only 47,000 original miles! It is equipped as follows: 1. 302 V8 engine 2BBL (very strong). 2. Automatic Transmission 3-speed (also very strong and tight). 3. AM/FM/Cassette (aftermarket, but designed for Mustang; fits in dash without cutting). 4. Power steering. 5. Exterior decor group (sport grille, sport mirrors, 2-tone paint treatment, front air-dam). 6. Deluxe Interior (comfort weave high back buckets, full console, deluxe door panels). 7. Hubcaps with optional beauty bands. 8. Power convertible top with glass rear window. This is really a nice clean car that has been well maintained. Except for one paint job in original metallic green color about 16 years ago, car is basically un-restored "Survivor" type. Original interior is excellent with nice seats, carpets, and door panels. Top and rear window are really nice, too. Beautiful un-restored engine compartment. Trunk is also nice and clean with original mat, tools, and spare tire cover. Trunk floor is not rusted out. Undercarriage of car looks good too. Body is nice, straight, and solid. Paint has a good shine to it yet. Top goes up and down well. Windows all work well, as does radio and heater. No A/C. There is one small ding in the left rear quarter right where it meets the bumper. It is not very noticeable. You can see it in the close-up picture of the lefty rear quarter. I haven't noticed any other dents. Car is very strong driving. It runs well, and does not smoke. I don't see any leaks. I also have not seen it using any oil. Drove it on a 200 mile trip this week with no problems. This is a nice fun summer time car that you can jump right in and enjoy. Of course every old car will need some tinkering here and there as time goes on, but I don't see any immediate major needs on this one. Tires have at least 75% or more of their tread remaining. Brakes also had new wheel cylinders installed not too many miles ago. When I drove on the trip, I got a little over 20MPG. Locally I get 17-18MPG. I am able to use 87 Octane pump gas with no problem. Here is a nice classic Mustang convertible that you can enjoy and it won't break the bank! Much better investment than stocks, or buying a late model car. Don't miss it! Now for the rules: 1. Your bid is a contract! If you are the successful bidder, you are expected to pay! Please have all contingencies handled and your money in place BEFORE you bid! 2. A NON-REFUNDABLE $2000 partial payment is due within 48 hours of auction's conclusion. This can be by bank wire transfer or cashiers check. Pay Pal is NOT acceptable for this. 3. Balance is due within 6 days of auction's close. This can be by bank wire transfer, cashiers check or cash in person. If you are paying balance upon pickup of car, it must be cash in person. 4. Car and title will not leave here until paid in full with cleared funds. No exceptions! 5. Car is sold strictly as-is at my pemisies with no guarantee or warranty of any kind. 6. Transportation is the buyer's responsibility. I will try to reasonably help and accommodate you any way I can, but it still YOUR responsibility. 7. An administrative fee of $100.00 will be charged in addition to the bid price. This goes toward my advertising expenses, paperwork, etc. It does not cover all of these expenses, but goes toward defraying some of them. 8. Car is advertised locally for sale. If I find a buyer through that venue, I reserve the right to end auction early. Please call me at 518-835-3710 or 704-661-1326 with any further questions about this. It is best to call both numbers and leave messages at both. 9. If you cannot pick up car right away, it can stay here for a reasonable amount of time. However, car should be insured by you as I cannot be responsible for circumstances beyond my control. Also car must still be paid for within the 7 days of auction's end. I am sorry for all the rules, but it seems that 5% of difficult people spoil it for the 95% who are good. Thanks very much for looking! Again, please feel free to call 518-835-3710 or 704-661-1326 with any questions. Again, call both and leave messages at both. Thanks very much. On May-17-11 at 21:33:05 PDT, seller added the following information: Please note, for those who asked: I have the spare tire, jack, and trunk mat for the car. All are in very good condition. I just took them all out to take pictures of the trunk floor to show it was not rusted out, and is very straight and solid. Thanks.
