1982 Honda CT

This old Honda motorcycle is in real good shape for its age. It has a easy starting 110cc engine that runs smoothly and quietly. Like the rest of this bike, the frame, plastic covers and metal work are in exceptional shape owing to it being in storage since the mid-1990's. I installed a new battery and carburettor then gave it some fresh gas last year and it fired up and ran like new. It has the two speed auxillary transmission so you can drive it both on road or off road. There are a few minor defects to the seat and the right hand side Honda decal on the plastic frame cover is damaged (see pictures). Both of these parts are available as reproductions if you wish to replace them. The fenders have also been drilled for some unsightly, oversized mudflaps made from an old truck floor mat hand-ripped to a semi- recognizable form (did I mention an old man with an RV owned it?) and the front fender has a stess-cracked support brace that gives you a nice rattle on rough trails. It has a clear title and comes with a reproduction owner's manual and a repair book. The exhaust pipe has been repaired just beyond the muffler in the tail pipe region, but it doesn't look too bad. The lights, horn, gauges and turn signals all work, although they work better-brighter, faster, louder- the higher you wind the engine rpm's. The spare gas tank is clean and undamaged and as a bonus I'll fill it with some non-skunky gasoline for the new owner. Local folks are welcome to come test drive it before bidding-email me to arrange a time. This bike is being sold with an "Around the world or around the block-whichever comes first" warranty, and buyer can decline to purchase it if upon viewing it they feel it was in any way misrepresented-no problem! This motorcycle must be picked up in Davison, MI within 30 days from end of auction with a 20% down payment due within 3 days from end of auction.On May-21-11 at 17:31:45 PDT, seller added the following information: UPDATE!! I had a fella and his kids over a few days ago for a test drive and if he would have had only 3 kids, everything would have been cool. Unfortunately, as offspring #4 came bounding across the yard, the exhaust took on a slightly raw gasoline smell and when he came in for a pitstop there was gas flowing out the overflow tube. It still runs great, you just have to fiddle with the shut-off valve (ON for 10 seconds, OFF, then drive for 1 minute, ON again for 10 more seconds, ect, ect) while driving to keep it from flooding out. The float needle or some other wing-ding in the carburettor has stuck and now it is getting too much fuel. If I cant fix it tonight ( I delayed fixing it when I heard the world may end today-figuring it was a waste of time, like mowing the lawn- NOW I have to do both..) I'll deduct 40 bucks from the final price of the bike so you can buy a new one off of ebay.
