Vehicle Detail
I purchased this vehicle in 2008, I am the third owner and have copies of most of the service records. Since I owned it I have put in a new water pump, alternator, voltage regulator, replaced the belts, and tires. I had a high altitude tune up at a local shop so it would run well at this elevation (6,000 feet above sea level). This year I replaced the battery, spark plugs, and rear diff fluid. The previous owner replaced the ECM module in 2007. In 2000 it had the distributor replaced, valve adjustment, replaced timing chain, tensioners and rails. In 1999 it had a new radiator, starter, drive shaft flex mounts, and new tranny mounts and replaced the clutch fan. In 1998 it received after market seat covers, new shocks, left and righ upper control arms, left side tie rod end, and steering shock absorber. Also replaced air temp sensor and signal waste switch, hood pad, brake pedal, steering box and coolant tank. The tires have less than 1K on them. The car runs good, does not smoke, tranny shifts fine. The heater and A/C work fine, as well as the parking brake. It has a good spare tire and jack. It has the original manuals. It has the removeable hard top with the tools to lock and unlock the soft top as well. The soft top is in good shape it had been replaced a few years before I purchased it. The soft top back window is plastic and does have a few scrape marks on it. Also included as you can see in the pics of the trunk it has the moveable hard top cradle to help store the hard top in an upright position and easily move it around the garage. It had a new sony radio CD player and speakers put in behind the seats just before I purchased the vehicle. The electric windows work, all the lights to include fog work as well. The speedometer works most of the time, once in a while it will skip, the odometer does not work so I really do not know the actual mileage, what shows on the odometer is not correct. I will try to give you the most honest description I can of the vehicle, as you can see I have great feedback because I have always tried to do so, I don't like to be surprised or disappointed after a purchase. What is wrong with the vehicle, it has a small tranny leak I have to put in about 1/2 a quart each year, it is missing the piece on the drivers door frame that prevents the door from being blown open too far or opened past the normal travel of the door hinge. I have never been able to get the cruise control to work. The right electric window moves up and down slower than the left side. It has some rust as I have tried to point out in the pics, they are below the rear tail light areas, a few rock chips are starting to rust as well, and some surface rust around the trunk area by the rear window. Also I show a pic before and after in the right side of the trunk where the jack is kept, it has a rust hole all the way through, I put some metal and rubber mat on top as you can see from the pic. The door locks do work but take some getting use too. The passenger seat head rest leans in the forward position but will slide back when someone is sitting in the seat. I tried to show pics of the 3 cracks in the dashboard. With the hard top on you do get some wind noise, it looks like the window seals could be replaced but I never got around to it. Its not a bad car for its age, very driveable, just not a perfect show car, it is not a perfect restoration. It has no warranty and purchased as is. Thanks for looking. Mileage is not accurate as stated above.
