Vehicle Detail
I am the proud third owner of this amazing SUV. Ford truly went above and beyond when designing the Excursion. It is more luxurious than the Chrysler 300 I had previously owned, and can do more work than any truck I have ever owned or driven. It is fully loaded with Leather interior, duel power seats, DVD player with 13" screen(way better than the 7" screens we have in our car), Sirius Satellite Radio, Privacy Tint, Front/Rear Heat and A/C controls and everything you'd expect from a Ford Truck, if not more. The CD player is an in dash 6disc changer, but is showing its 9 years of age, in that sometimes it doesn't want to eject. All other functions of the stereo work great, and we usually listen to music with the Ipod adapters, so it has worked fine for us. The rear tires are BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A's and look like new. The fronts have a lot of wear. The paint looks amazing with only minor surface rust on the rear door hinges. No surface rust anywhere on the body! It did get some hail dings this spring, mainly on the hood and roof. I am putting a picture of the hood, but the dings are very hard to see in the picture and barely noticeable until you are standing right beside the Excursion. It does have inside 4x4H, 4x4L, 4x2H controls, and for those really nasty winters or insane terrain, you can hop out and lock the front hubs in solid. Having the lockout hubs is rare in newer vehicles, which made it a huge plus for me. I pulled out several mini vans the last 3 winters with ease. It is wired for electronic brakes, however I have never pulled anything with electric brakes and am unaware if they function. I would assume they do, but no guarantee on them. It has the large RV style outlet for trailer lights and comes with an adapter for the 4 wire standard trailer lights. I have pulled a few boats, motorcycle trailers and utility trailers and it was so smooth, I hardly noticed they were behind me. That is everything I can think of for the positives and negatives of my Excursion. I will answer any other questions you have preferably by email or text, however if you prefer, I will take calls as well.
