As part of an estate, we are offering on consignment this 1972 C-10. The owner had this truck for the last 17 years and valued it very much; I understand that he didn't even like to drive it in the rain. The care it received is obvious in its' preservation. It was believed that the truck still retained its' original paint, however upon a thorough inspection I believe that the top blue portion was refinished some time longer than 17 years ago. The white portion and the lower blue portion, I am convinced, are original paint. The only signs of rust is some bubbling on the bottoms of each rocker panel. No rust in door bottoms, floor pans, or cab corners. It's been a Texas truck all its' life. All controls work as they should and the A/C blows cold. Runs and drives beautifully - with some hesitation during cold starts. Truck still retains its' original 350 c.i. engine and Hyra-Matic transmission. The truck is available to view at any time prior to the end of the auction. We reserve the right to end the auction at any time. A $500.00 deposit is due within 24 hours of auctions end. Balance due within 7 days of auctions end. Truck is being sold as is / where is. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs. Texas buyers will have to pay 6.25% sales tax, $52.80 registration fee, and $5.00 Buyers Tag fee. Out of state buyers will be responsible for all tax and licensing fees in their home state.
