You are bidding a VIRTUALLY BRAND NEW 2006 SATURN ION , VIN # 1G8AZ55F46Z145819 with ONLY 220 ACTUAL MILES SINCE NEW. This vehicle was purchased by me from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (GSA). It was a vehicle that they performed compliance testing on. As you can see it was NEVER crashed. This vehicle had test performed on the seating, interior space, seatbelts, restraints, braking, turn signals etc. I am sure that there were more tests, but none on drivability or performance of driving. As with all vehicles released by NHTSA, this vehicle came from GSA with a notice to the buyer “not to be titled for highway use”. This vehicle comes with a clear Texas title and NO highway registration. The vehicle had 90 miles when I got it. I put 130 miles on it with zero issue. The car runs and drives just like it did when it was released from the factory. You need to check with your local DMV to understand the requirements to put it on the road. In Texas, all you need is a State Inspection and you can provide the State with the documentation (green slip) and they will issue a registration and tags for use. I am unsure of other states and their requirements; however I would assume if you get an inspection locally your DMV will issue road use plates. This vehicle was purchased for refurb and resell and based on that I did not register it to drive. It is a 5-speed manual transmission. It does not have A/C installed yet; however many dealers can install a dealer installed A/C system for around $900.00 give or take. The vehicle has cloth interior that is new in appearance and manual windows and Power door locks. The vehicle does have the AM-FM/CD system that sounds great. I hit the On-Star button on the attendant came on and I registered the vehicle as new and it has On-Star service FREE through the end of October 2011. The vehicle still smells new and appears as new; otherwise as noted. This vehicle has never had any aftermarket paintwork or repairs. It is in exceptional mint condition overall, with exception to a few scratches around the car. Unsure of their cause, but some will need to be professionally repaired to remove. Please see the pictures for a better view of the type of scratches that I am referring to. The tires on this vehicle are over 99%. The vehicle drives down the road straight, no shakes or rattles. This vehicle has NO mechanical issues to report. It runs and drives, as new. The mileage on this vehicle is accurate at 221. Once the auction ends and a bid deposit received the vehicle will be 100% parked and the winner of the car will be notified of the mileage at that time. There will be no further use of the vehicle beyond that point. This vehicle will make a great Tow Vehicle or a vehicle for a beginning driver.
