The father of Famous Resi Stiegler, an alpine ski racer on the U.S. Ski Team. He purchased this 912 while on a trip to Germany, Juli of 68'. He then brought back to the states later that year to Tenton Village, WY. He was the founder & Ski director of Jackson Hole Ski Corporation at the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. In April of 1979, he sold this 912 to his friend working at the Ski Resort. Then in August of 86, it was resold to another party. It made it's way to Los Angeles and has recited here ever since then. Remains the original Numbers Matching Porsche engine & 5 speed manual transmission. This is a (P) Model Porsche indicating 912s assembled in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It has never been restored or taken apart. Original Light Ivory with Black Interior. 5 gauge cluster with original Wooden Steering wheel. Remained in Southern California for the last 20+ years. The body is original with the exceptional of being repainted once over 20 years ago. The undercarriage is all original and has never had any work done. The trunk compartment is as well original. It does have some minor rust on the door/ rocker as well as a small spot on the floor. It's a unrestored 912 but it not rotted out. As seen in the photos, needs some bodywork & missing rear driver side bumper. The interior is all original except for the radio & speakers at the rear seat shelf. Looks as it is period correct and was done right. Rest of the interior is bone stock. The drivetrain has not been running in over 5 years. Was sitting in the garage since 2006. Will turn over but needs work to get it back on the road ( brakes, gas tank, carburetors, etc). It does have the have the original trunk mat & took kit that goes along with it. DOES not run.The glovebox is full of other paperwork from over the years as well. Overall, it's a Unrestored, Fully Documented, Numbers Matching & was owned by a Olympic Gold Medalist 1968 Porsche 912 At No Reserve. Well Worth restoring, not your average 912. _____________________________________________ Term & Conditions ___________________________________________ I have set my auction at a very Rare 3 Days with No Reserve setting.
