Up for your consideration is an awfully nice 1981 Chevrolet Camaro Z-28. True survivor car, 99% original. 350, auto. trans., air conditioning, smog, tilt, Am-Fm radio and T-Tops. I took this car in on trade from an older gentleman who was just not getting any useage and decided to let it go. Paint is the very pretty Maple poly, looks like a very deep and dark burgundy. Body is perfectly straight, no dings or damage. Just had car professionally buffed and looks fantastic !! There were a handful of chips that were touched up due to normal and expected wear and tear. Rear bumper is faded compared to rest of paint and i would paint it if i was to keep the car but resisted due to originality. Only exterior paint done was i had the wheels blasted and painted as well as the rear spats/flares in front of the rear wheels as they had faded and had stone/bug chips, otherwise original paint. Interior is a time capsule, perfect dash, guages etc. Seats look new, carpet is very very nice and i installed a set of repro Z-28 logo rubber factory style mats. Headliner is not sagging but a little loose in a couple of spots, easy fix. Am-Fm plays crystal clear, all lights and accessories 100%. Air has not been charged in years but all there. Small chip in windshield otherwise glass is good. Weatherstripping shows age but not falling apart or leaky. Trunk looks new, never touched. Spare and jack never down. New trunk carpet. Engine bay is all original finishes with exception of air cleaner. All smog intact, nothing ever molested. Tires are a few years old but deep treads and not weather checked. I had new rear brake lines installed due to leak. Due to visibility of rear hanging tailpipies i had new ones installed for asthetic reasons. Aside from routine maintenence items, car is to best of knowledge factory genuine thru-out. Starts, runs, drives and stops like its 1981 again. 100% ready to cruise or show in unrestored class. As nice as this car is, it is not new and normal wear and tear should be expected. I would love it if you or a third party inspected the car PRIOR to bidding/purchase !!
