I have a ‘76 XJ12L Series II that I am selling for a friend. He got it in 2006 and it was running and driving about 2 years ago when he got a job as a cruise ship musician and so it sat. Now he can't find the key after a recent kitchen remodel and his neighbors said it had to go. Some surface rust outside, but the worst thing I see is the drivers floor is completely "Fred Flintstone"-gone between the seat and the firewall (the rear seems solid). The rest of the car is not too bad. I don't see water leaks. No wiring cut, interior is good except the woodgrain is cracking in places. Complete and unmolested as far as I can tell except floor mats and carpet are gone. Clean title. Never wrecked as far as I can tell. Fuel pump is in pieces in the boot where he tried to start it about a year ago and realized it wasn’t working. Now he can’t find the key. Selling as-is, where-is with no guarantees of any kind. Possible transportation in the Southeast available for extra cost, but check with me first. Terms-cash at pickup. If this does not sell whole, I will be parting it out, which would be a shame because it really is a nice car except for the floor. I can take more photos of specific items on request. This is a classic 5.3L 12 cylinder Jag, with many nice parts, don’t let this one go to the crusher. No reserve-bid to buy. Basically buy this for a bit more than scrap value.
