For sale 1953 MGTD Roadster. This a beautiful car that has been in our family for 45 years. My Dad bought the car for my Mom as a birthday present in 1966. She loved it and drove it daily for many years. In 1971 we decided to give it a frame off restoration to bring it back to it's original factory condition. This included disassembling and stripping all body panels to bare metal, priming and re painting with 10 coats of nitrocellulose lacquer, sanded between each coat and polished. All chrome parts were triple plated, all mechanical systems except the transmission and rear end were rebuilt including a complete engine build. The car is 95% original parts with the exception of some minor additions like a side view mirror, new carpet and rebuilt hydraulic dampers. The brake system was gone through about 5 years ago. The car includes the original handbook, tools, engine crank, side curtains, top and tonneau cover. The car also has some hard to find parts including the spare tire hub cap with the oversize MG logo and a Huth dual exhaust system. The car is in excellent driving condition, starts and runs like a dream. My Mom passed away several years ago and the car doesn't get the attention she deserves anymore, so we have decided to sell her to someone who can enjoy this beautiful classic roadster as much as we have. We have decided to price the car to sell instead of auctioning. The price we are asking is way below what this car is worth and we are confident that the new owner will enjoy driving and owning this car for years to come. Thank you for looking.
