All Original Survivor - One Owner If you're looking for an unmodified, complete and pristine all original, numbers matching Malibu this is it. A superb, un-restored, original condition Chevelle from the top, down to the wheels. Obviously normal wear has necessitated the replacement of some items such as plug wires, battery cables, battery, alternator, hoses and belts and other similar components. The engine, transmission, drive shaft and differential are all original as came with the car. This car has been in my family since it was first purchased Dec 15, 1964. I have the original purchase invoice for documentation. It has been garaged all its life and was a daily driver until approximately 1988 and since then only driven occasionally. This Malibu was built and has resided in northern California in a non ice & snow area so there is no road salt corrosion problems. The black California plates are the original ones issued at first registration. This car has not been neglected, butchered or abused in any way. It still has the original windshield washer glass bottle. The original owners manual is still in the glove compartment. I have replaced the door panels and most all the door and side window weather stripping along with a new trunk mat and trunk weather stripping. A new heater core has also been installed. It still has the original jack and spare tire. The car has never been in a collision and has never had any body work or bondo. It was repainted the original color in 1986, and it had a minor transmission overhaul in 1969. I have both invoices for the repaint and trans overhaul. The engine has never been disassembled or repaired but still runs so smooth you hardly know its running. There are a few minor chips and scratches in the paint and some small rust bubbles around the lower rear window. There is a minor oil leak at the engine rear main seal. This car could be driven home if you are the top bidder. Pre bid inspections by you or your "vehicle inspection co." are recommended and welcomed.
