Vehicle Detail
Another quality restoration from JWs Dream Machines dot com. This particular bike was one of my personal favorites from the 1970's. Something about the bright orange paint and the awesome power that comes from the zippy 550 engine. So we started this restoration with a low mileage bike that had been loved and pampered by it's original owner. We are the second owners....The bike now not only runs like a new bike but it looks like a new bike. This is a ground up restoration. Every nut and bolt was removed and cleaned and shined. The frame, engine and side covers were all re-painted to factory spec colors. It starts and runs like new and you can see more photos as well as the bike starting and running on our photobucket site: http://s560.photobucket.com/albums/ss49/jwalte01/Jerods%20550F/ New period correct Dunlop tires, new battery, and many other NOS parts make this the nicest 550F I have ever seen. The chrome on the bike is original and in very good condition, except the handlebars were re-chromed. The chrome is not perfect but it was too nice to re-do. The original exhaust has no rust or holes but the muffler has a few scratches and dents and the headers have a bit of road rash. Any flaws on the exhaust does not show on the photos and is not that visable in person. Did I mention how awesome the bikes runs? Oh, one last thing, the kick starter works but the spring to bring it back in position is sprung. Not a big deal in my opinion as the electric starter gets it going with one touch. My son and I are proud to offer this pristine quintessential Vintage Japanese Motorcycle to the highest bidder. Here's a testimonial from the latest buyer of one of our restored classics: "I just bought a 1970 Bridgestone 350 GTR that was restored by John and his son, Jerod at JW's Dream Machines. The quality of work done on this motorcycle is unsurpassed by any other restoration work I have ever seen. It not only looks new, but rides just like new. I'm certain that I will be riding it with no problems for years to come. This is the same GTR that was on EBAY that didn't meet reserve. To those of you who didn't bid quite high enough; you really missed out on a wonderful bike. My sincere thanks to JW's Dream Machines for the opportunity to own such a classic work of art. " James Benoit, Louisiana. I am a retired business man that has a passion for old Motorcycles . My son's and I are always looking for nice clean bikes that we can clean up, restore or maybe even ride and keep for awhile. But mostly we just enjoy the thrill of finding them and them passing them on to a collector, like ourselves that will appreciate them as much as we do. We specialize nice Vintage Collectable JapaneseMotorcycles from the 60’s 70's and 80'sThis is one of them from our personal collection….. This bike is my son's personal ride and has a Texas Title in his name Please, please, please be sure that you have the money to purchase the bike if you are bidding. All the inspections must be done before the auction closes. Keep in mind that this classic bike is over 35 years old. Please remember that things always seem to look better in pictures.
