* A 3 Day Auction At No Reserve * Photo Below is where the GTO sat since 91' & the original owner signing the pink slip away This is an original 1968 Pontiac Factory GTO. Numbers matching 400 "YS" - Automatic His/Her Hurst Dual shifter. Found in the original owner's Backyard in Pasadena, California. Was sitting & covered behind his home since 1991. Unrestored & spent it's entire life in Southern California. Still remaining the original Black & Yellow plates proving it as a True California Goat. This is a True GTO proving by the vin "242". Remains most of it's original paint. Factory color combination is Verdoro Green with a Ivory White top & Parchment interior. Still remain's original white GTO stipe. Rare & Beautiful color combo. Original & a clean California undercarriage. Solid floorboards with no patch panels. Original quarthers & trunk panel.The quarthers are clean & in nice shape. The trunk does have the common surface/moisture rust from the rubber mat. Original & nice door jambs, inner door jambs & under doors. The driver side fender was replaced in the mid 80's and primered. Still remains the orginal GTO decals & emblem. The windshield does have a crack in it. Other then that, remains original body panels. It does have the common Pontiac rust here & there but nothing major. Keep in mind, most of it is original paint. The interior remains the factory parchment upholstery.The stock console, shifter, steering wheel, gauges, dash compartment & seats are still in place. The original radio is missing but the space has never been hacked. the original Headliner is falling apart. All the original door panels are still mostly attached. Overall, the interior is there. Has the original matching #'s 400 "YS". I did check the bottom of the block and did confirm the vin does match. It does runs & drives but is not road worthy. Before starting it after sitting for long, I had the Holley (not original) rebuilt, drained the gas tank & blew out the fuel lines. Pour some fresh gas into it & started right up. The raditor leaks a bit and I would not drive it far. It does runs & brakes. Will need to be restored meaning body work, interior & drivetrain but it's mostly complete & original. Overall, would make a great candidate for a restoration project. Its a original California #'s Matching GTO.
