Vehicle Detail

This is my 1979 Lincoln Continental Town Car. It is Medium Torquoise with a Torquoise Velour Interior (the pictures do not do it justice). It has all the power options, and everything on the car works, including the cruise control, which I use all the time, and the power antenna. The eight track player still works, and the car drives beautifully. The left rear fender has a little rust and a crease that was there when I bought it. The paint, although it photographs well, is faded. This car could use a good paint job if you want to show it. But, it is totally presentable for daily or weekend use, which is how I use it. If you like being the center of attention, this is the car for you. If you are looking for a getaway car, don't buy it. These are the last of the Big Lincolns, and with over 5,000 pounds of "road hugging weight" and an emissions stifling 150 hp 400 cid V-8, they are quite slow to reach speed. However, if you need to change careers and become a pimp, this is your car. Over 100 stuffed bunnies gave up their lives to make this car's interior, so it can look like the lobby in a brothel. I am the president of an antique car club, and I drive my cars regularly, to keep them in proper mechanical condition. I recently took this car on a six-hour trip to Philadelphia and back on the same day, and she performed beautifully. She rides nicely and will return a whopping 12 mpg on the highway. However, you need not use premium gas because these are low compression engines. Ford did everything to meet CAFE requirements with these cars, and one can tell. I am selling her because I am moving to a house with a very small two-car driveway and no garage. My other two cars, an AMC and a Rambler barely fit in the driveway together. This girl sticks her big butt out and blocks traffic when in the driveway alone, so she needs a good home. I truly enjoy driving her, and you will, too. With 66,066 miles, she is all original, and I am the third owner. The original owner's name is engraved on a plaque on the glove compartment door. She needs nothing. I recently replaced the master brake cylinder and rear brake lines to fix a leak. She also receives regular mantenance and cleaning. She does not smoke, rattle, or leak. Other than needing a good paint job, she needs nothing, and even that isn't necessary. When was the last time you saw one in this color? All the lights work, even the gaudy ones on the B-pillar. I have to sell her, so there is NO RESERVE! Happy bidding. On Apr-28-11 at 15:13:24 PDT, seller added the following information: Please do not bid if you cannot afford the car then ask me to cancel your bids. I do not appreciate being played, and it is not fair to legitimate bidders.
