Vehicle Detail
Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I am a licensed wholesaler offering traded in and off lease vehicles directly to the public. Buying your next vehicle through one of my NO RESERVE auctions could save you thousands over retail by eliminating most of the overhead expenses that the bigger dealers pass down to you. Before listing a vehicle on ebay, I personally drive it so that I can tell you first hand how it looks, runs and drives. The description you are about to read is my honest opinion of this vehicle completely on my time behind the wheel and my own observations. The information contained within this description is true and correct to the best of my knowledge and ability but cannot be guaranteed as I am not a mechanic and am not qualified to make any statement beyond my observations. Pre bidding inspections by yourself or your mechanic are welcomed and encouraged. Just email me to set up a time to meet at my warehouse. I will gladly answer any questions about this vehicle through email, too. An administrative fee of $99 will be added to the final bid of each auction. You are buying wholesale direct with absolutely NO RESERVE when you bid on one of my vehicles. This means that no vehicle I sell, unless otherwise stated, has been reconditioned or serviced in any way and may or may not need repairs. I disclose everything that I know in my descriptions. Please read the entire description carefully before bidding or asking questions. UP for a NO RESERVE auction today is a very nice 1987 Jeep Grand Wagoneer with just ONE OWNER from brand new and it shows. If you are reading this, you probably know more about these than I do so please take it easy on me with the questions. I am not an expert when it comes to the Wagoneer's. This is the first one I've ever had. Overall, this is a great looking Jeep considering its age. She cleans up pretty well although there is some minor rust here and there. The most noticable is on the two front fenders (see photos). There are not major dents or scratches that I could see. The wood panels seem to be in good condition. The roof rack is fully in tact and all of the chrome looks very good. All of the glass is in tact, too. The tires are a matching set and have good tread left on them. There is a receiver hitch at the rear for towing, too. The paint shines well for a 25 year old truck and looks to be original. This Jeep was purchased new right here in Harrisburg, PA and appears to have been a local vehicle all its life. This was a new car trade at a major local dealership here in Harrisburg. The interior of this Grand Wagoneer is in excellent condition. The seats are all in great shape and show no signs of wear. All seats are comfortable and supportive. The carpets are clean and thick throughout this truck. The headliner is in perfect condition. The door panels are all in perfect condition with all switches in tact. The only negative thing I can say about the interior is that the both of the rear door windows do not lower. You can hear the motor run on the left one but not the right. The front two windows and the rear gate window work as they should, as do the power locks and dual power mirrors. Both front seats are power operated. The heater works fine and the original radio works, too. Pride in ownership definitely shows throughout this classic Jeep. The original owners manual is still in the glove box and the original retracting cargo cover is still over the rear cargo area. Mechanically, this Jeep is in great running condition. The best thing about a classic with miles on it is that you know it works. Everyone knows that sitting for extended periods of time is bad for a car. This one is definitely a runner, for sure. The 360 cubic inch V8 starts right up and runs smoothly and quietly. I saw no leaks under this vehicle after letting it idle in my warehouse. During my test drive, she exhibited excellent road manners. The engine makes good power and accellerates easily. Driving down the highway is a breeze. The suspension and steering both feel tight. The brakes stop this heavy truck easily and without any drama. This Wagoneer has a newer PA inspection, too. The 4wd works as it should. The transmission shifts smoothly and appears to be operating as it should. Here is a chance to own a classic that you don't have to be affraid to drive. I can't tell you the last time I saw one of these on the road. I got more nods and looks at the gas station driving this than I do in my '87 Buick Grand National. Please bid with confidence. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding!
