Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Up for auction is my sweet 1972 Honda CT70H 4 speed manual trans with clutch. These were only made for only 2 production years so they are rare. This bike is super clean and nicest restored bike I have ever owned or seen. It is in exceptional condition and is as close to mint as you’ll find. Manufacture date of 3/72 and the odometer shows just over 123 miles on it. The bike was gone through and completely refurbished by previous owner and when I bought it, it had 75 miles on it. It sat in my man cave as a conversation piece. Once a year I would put gas and oil in it and take it for a spin around the neighborhood. I hate to sell it but I’m finally over my mid-life crisis, and I have no time to ride or enjoy it so it’s up for sale. We are doing some remodeling so the wife wants it out of the house. Engine starts easily, runs excellent, and shifts like it should. I weigh 190 and it does 45 mph (top speed) no problem with me on it. The following list is most of what is new: Paint, all decals, muffler, handle bars, cables, cable ties, chrome grab handle, fuel cap, mirrors, ignition switch, battery, points, condenser, coil, spark plug, head light, tail light bulb, seat cover, tool kit, buddy pegs, tires, tubes, rear rack, battery cover, etc. etc. too much to list. Several original parts were re-chromed. Bike has no modifications save for the battery and terminals. The lead acid battery was replaced with a sealed battery and the terminals are a quick disconnect type. The original seat pan had a crack and has been repaired. All of the lights and horn work, the neutral light is a little finicky, and the tool kit is under the seat. The helmet holder is there but I do not have the original key (new ignition switch) so it will not open with the new key. There are very few signs of pitting but there is some slight evidence on the tail light bracket and rear fender. All other chrome is in great shape. Keep in mind the bike is 39 years old. Pictures should pretty much tell the story. There is no title for this bike, but I can offer a bill of sale. If you want to get a title you can obtain one from http://its-titles.com. If you would like to stop by and see it, just let me know. I have a fairly flexible work schedule. Bike is sold as is with no warranty implied or offered. It's available for local pickup in Homer Glen, IL 60491. Local pick up is preferred and encouraged, or I can ship this bike via www.forwardair.com. The buyer is responsible for making all freight/shipping arrangements and costs. I will charge $25.00 for a set of tie downs and locks for the shipping container, which will be added to the final sale amount. I will also deliver it to the Chicago forward air facility. Please email if you have any questions. If you would like to discuss in further detail I can be reached at 630/217-8960. Please call between 8am and 7pm CST ONLY. I will also consider any reasonable offers. PLEASE DO NOT ASK ME FOR A FREIGHT QUOTE. I will not accept any out of country offers or bids on this item. Do not bid if do not intend to pay. If you have 0 or negative feedback, you must email me first before bidding or I may cancel your bid. Thanks for looking. On Apr-26-11 at 05:33:53 PDT, seller added the following information: I noticed somehow I listed this as NEW condition. The bike is NOT NEW it is used. I'm not sure how I missed that. Since the edit feature does not let me change it I wanted to post this clarification.
