This is a legally binding contract and the last bidder will be the owner of this great vehicle. 1972 Mercedes 280se 4.5 We have for sale this beautiful rare survivor Mercedes 280se 4.5 model. Mercedes enthusiasts will know this was a limited production car (only 13k built over the 2 years it was offered) that is hard to find in this good running condition. This car needs only minor attention to be restored to its full original brilliance. The paint retains it luster from when it was new. There are a couple of areas on the trunk lid where the paint cracked and flaked away. There are also very minor dings as expected with a car of this age. The bumpers, wheels, and glass are all in very good condition. Trim and lenses show a little age, but are also in very good condition. The interior is in good condition as well. All the electrical, gauges, and switches are in proper working order including a/c. Carpet is excellent with only a small hole on the driver side floor. Seats are equally excellent with only a small, hard to see, puncture on the passenger side. As can be seen in our many pictures the dashboard has some cracking, but overall this interior is in great shape. The drivetrain is excellent as the car runs and drives easily down the road. The rare M117 4.5l V8 has great power still today. Transmission moves through the gears smoothly without any slipping. There are no odd noises to be heard and no smoke to be seen from the car at all. Only issue at all may be power steering pump but please call as we are looking into this week before the auction ends. This is an excellent opportunity to get a great and rare classic from the world renowned auto makers of Mercedes.
