Vehicle Detail
Have a 2003 Lincoln six passenger limousine. Vehicle is manufactured by Krystal. This is an executive style Limousine. This limo was owned by one of the casino/hotels in Vegas until last year when it went to Illinois for about two years. I purchased this car with the intentions of making it flawless. I have discovered that it is going to cost be more than I had budgeted. Meaning, I have to paint it black to use with my fleet, in order to use at the Airport. Orignally I was going to touch up a few spots on the paint and have the transmission serviced, repaired, or replaced. I knew I had to spend a couple of grand on it. The person I bought it from dropped the price to fit the repairs, I bought the car. But now to paint it black, I might as well sell this one and buy me a black one. MIleage on the motor wasnt important. I wanted a car that was nice on the inside. So orignally my thought were to replace the motor and transmission, touch up a little paint, then boooommm. I would have a nice used new car. Overall the car is in great shape, again, it has a few things that needs to be addressed. I use the car weekly as it is. The car interior is overall at 98%. No tears, no burns, overall very good shape. This is the main reason I purcahsed the car knowing the interior was in such great shape. Also meaning nothing needs to be done to the interior whatsoever unless you wanted to add limo lighting, etc. It has two glass holders on each side. No ice wells. All controls are up front with the driver. Front and rear air condition is ICE cold. Motor runs exceptionally well, I did change oil and spark plugs just so I would have a record. The only problems that need attention is some touch up painting: Right fender has a scratch, the left passengers door and the left side of the strecth has a scratch where someone walked down it with a key. This is noticaable if you are up within three feet looking for it. Standing back from the car or at night you cant see it. My case, I see, I wanted to touch it up and keep it silver. The airport here requires all vehicles to be of the same suit/color. It will cost me more to redo the top black and paint the car black as to where just keeping it silver and touching up the areas that need to be addressed. The vinyl top is in very good shape, Has had a few little splits up to about one up that have been repaired. The top has been dyed once I know of. The transmission shuttlers or slips from first to second gear. The lincoln dealor said it was a pressure seal. Car does have the original transmission according to the dealor. So, in my case, it probably wouldnt hurt to replace. I found a used transmission at Advance Auto with 58,000 miles for $700 bucks. It comes with a one year warranty. The lincoln dealor aid they would swap for $660 bucks. As far as driving, the first two gears change rapidly. after you get above 10 MPH the car runs, rides, as smooth as any lincoln I have ever driven. Car does not use oil, car gets about 21 miles to a gallon. Again, I use the car every weekend. I am really sort of stuck about selling. Im thinking maybe I should repair the minor things, keep the car silver and use it. Silver is a very nice color. Car is forsale locally. Going to start the bidding off low. I do have a rather low reserve, I too will allow for the above repairs. If it dont sell for what I have in it. I will repair, touch up the paint, then try to sell for more than what I have in it. I have owned the car about two months now. I would also not be afraid to drive this car five hundred miles tomorrow. Any questions, please ask. Also: The air ride has been replaced with shocks and springs? This was done by the previous owner. Has been replaced within the last three or four months. So thats one thing that will not have to be worked on, replaced, etc.On Apr-22-11 at 12:33:12 PDT, seller added the following information: Added more pictures today. Ok Guys we're off on the bidding. This is a good solid car. A great little six pak. I have nothing to hide here. I knew when I bought this car I had to spend a couple of grand. We all know when you buy a work truck, you've got to spend a little money on it. You also know you can make your money back within months. Cars need s a little TLC to be right. No, its not a new car yet the body style is still good for another few years or so. If you want to drive the car as it is, you can. Worse thing is the shutter in the transmission. I dont know if its a pressure seal like the dealor says it is. It only does it from first to second gear. I dont know if it can be repaired or if it needs to be rebuilt or replaced. I do know it doesnt do it all the time. I do know when you get on the highway she rides, drives, like a baby doll. This would make a great family party tailgate mobile. This will make a nice addition to another limo company. I'm even up for swapping for a black six pak. Car is listed forsale locally therefore I reserve the right to end this auction at anytime. I've been offered more than what this low reserve is set at. I set it low to get the bidding going. Don't lose out on this car. With a little work it will dress up very nice. It turns heads now and it is far from being called junk, far from being worn out. Check it out, look it over, bid to own. Thanks
