Vehicle Detail

WOW – remember when? Bring back the good ol’ days with this 1975 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale convertible. The small block 400 V-8 with TH400 transmission is an awesome combo for durability, reliability and great performance. This car is probably the best running car I own. The transmission was replaced about 3 years ago. The odometer says 54,000 and that might be actual given the way it runs but I cannot guarantee it as actual. This car does need some bodywork due to rust as seen in the pictures but it will not disappoint mechanically. I bought the car with a restoration in mind but have enjoyed driving it to too much to ever get around to actually doing the body work. The tires have plenty of tread left on them. What it needs: 1) the top is relatively new; however the back window is broken out 2) the electric motor for the top is out of the car and needs to be rebuilt or replaced (I have a contact for getting it rebuildt), 3) the air conditioning is not hooked up - don't know if it works or not, the compressor turns freely - but really, when you're cruising with the top down - do your really care about AC? 4) the speakers for the radio sound terrible – they should be replaced (upgrade the streo with a CD player!) The only reason this car is for sale is that I got my dream car and don't have room to store this one anymore. I have driven this car during the summers only for the last 11 years and enjoyed it a lot. It has always been stored inside during the winter. Enjoy it now as is or dress it up with a little bondo and some paint (you would easilly double your money reselling it) or take the time to do a correct restoration (virtually everything you need is there down to the original wire wheel hubcaps), do the latter and you'll have a really valuable classic that will only appreciate. Shipping will be at your expense but count on our cooperation in terms of getting the car picked up or you can pick it up and drive it home - I never doubt that it will run perfectly anywhere anytime. I will entertain all serious offers. A deposit of $300 will be due by PayPal within 48 hours of the auction ending with the balance paid by certified check or money order within 10 days. The car is being sold as is and will not be released until fully paid for. I can store the car (indoors) for up to a month.
