The original California car offered here runs and drives exceptionally well. The engine starts right up and sounds very healthy. The dual exhaust gives it a nice deep rumble. The transmission shifts right on time through all the gears. No overheating or strange noises. The brakes, steering, and suspension are are in great operating condition. The entire drive train is very solid. The wheels give the car a nice look but they are old and have imperfections in the chrome.Cosmetically the car appears to be all original with the exception of the replacement hood. The hinges were bad on the old hood which caused it to bend. The paint finish is original and the factory red color is not often seen on Ranchero's of this era. The car has a completely rust free chassis, frame and floors. There are nicks, chips, dings, scratches and some minimal body imperfections (see pics). Structurally the car is 100% solid. The chrome is in good shape however, the rear bumper has some pitting and when you paint the car a re chromed rear bumper will finish it off. All of the lights, lenses, and lighting fixtures are in good original condition. The interior is nice showing normal wear on the drivers seat. The door panels and carpeting are good. The headliner needs repair. The dash has one crack. Superb running 351.....Replacement metal patch panel. Otherwise the bed is in very good condition and not all beat up, just normal wear.lower passenger fendervery small hole approx. 1/2 inch. Beautiful underside.Overall this is a car you can drive and enjoy immediately while you fix it up. The car has huge potential and will be stunning with a little TLC.
