Vehicle Detail

3 Day Auction At No Reserve - Sold To The Higest Bidder! This is a 1955 Ford Customline 2 Door Sedan. Factory 272 V8 162 HP with 3 speed maunel Overdrive. Built in San Jose, California & sold new at Stoddard Ford in Idaho Falls. Original owner Clinton Gilliam & wife Ellen decided to move to Elko, Nevada in the late 70's were it would resided for the next 20 years. They had the Ford restored in the late 80's back to original condition. New owners who got in the year of 98', brought it to southern california were it resides today. New owners not doing much to the ford besides a new set of tires & normally maintained it with tune ups such as oil change, new spark plugs & changing the fluids, ect. Ford does come with documents including registrations as early as 83', owner's maunel, insurance contract & receipts. Ford has been kept pretty much original over these years. The original color is the Neptune Green (which what i seen & read is more like a blue). Repainted only once back to Neptune Green & had the top painted white when it was restored. Undercarriage is clean & original as well as the trunk compartment which remain's original paint, Quarter's are fine also. Does have some rust Bubbling on driver side bottom quarter as well on driver bottom rocker. Body does have some minor bubble's & the exception of some ding's, body is in good shape. Chrome, trim molding's & bumper's are original & in good shape for being that. Lights & gauges work as well. All glass is original, passenger window does have a crack in the window as seen in pic. Now, the DRIVETRAIN still has the factory 272 V8 /162 hp apperars to be pretty stock just as the rest of the drivetrain. Runs & drives great as it was always maintained. Original 3 speed maunel trans with Overdrive shifts smoothly & brakes just fine. The INTERIOR color combo came factory Med. Turquoise/Dark Turquoise. The interior is complete & original. No radio cut outs or speaker holes. The dash compartment is clean & stock. Remains the original radio & gauge cluster. Ford has a clear California Title that matches vin. Also, has a pair of California historical plates that is registerd to vehicle & does go with the car. Ford would make a good original driver for some one. Great canidate to restore back to original as it's complete.
