THE STRUCTURAL DAMAGE HAD BEEN DEEMED UNSAFE AND A REPAIR UNRELIABLE. THEREFORE THE OWNERSHIP TITLE TO LEGALLY REGISTER THE BIKE HAS BEEN DESTROYED BY INSURANCE COMPANY OFFICIALS. I PERSONNALLY TRIED TO OBTAIN THE TITLE TO NO AVAIL. PROJECT BIKE WITH NO TITLE RUNS ABSOLUTELY FAST AND STRONG, NOT FOR BEGINNERS. JUST AS FAST AS THE DAY IT WAS NEW. BODY DYNAMICS ARE SUPERIOR IF YOU WANT A BIKE THAT CAN POWER IN TO A CORNER, COUNTER STEER AND POWER THE REAR TIRE OUT WITH THE FRONT TIRE OFF THE GROUND. THE NEW SUZUKIS CANT CATCH ME ON THIS BIKE IN THE CORNERS AND THAT INCLUDES THE 1000'S. LOOK AT HOW THE AMA WINNINGEST BIKES BODY SHAPE LIKE THE APRILIAS AND MV AGUSTAS ARE BEING MADE IN THE CURRENT YEAR, FAT AND STOUT WITH A HIGH REAR AND HEAVY CENTER. THIS BIKE WILL ALLOW A 20 DEGREE CORNER IF YOU HAVE THE GUTS TO HANG ON. THE MOTOR DOES SMOKE A BIT. MOST LIKELY VALVES. DOES NOT EFFECT PERFORMANCE OR ENGINE RUNNING ABILITY. RUNS 150% SHIFTS SMOOTH AND STILL HAS GREAT RESPONSE FROM THE FRONT AND REAR SHOCKS. FUEL INJECTION WORKS PERFECT AND DELIVERY IS SMOOTH AND IMMEDIATE. SO WHY NO TITLE? I BOUGHT THE BIKE 3 YEARS AGO IN A TOTALED MESS WITH NO TITLE FROM A FRIEND WHO HIGH SIDED IT AND BROKE THE TABS OFF THE BOTTOM OF THE FRAME THAT HOLD THE SHOCK CRADLE. THE METAL ON THE LOWER SIDE OF THE FRAME IS A MAGANESE SO ITS A TOUGH AND UNRELIABLE LOW HEAT WELD. I FELT IT WAS SAFER AND EASIER TO REPLACE THE FRAME THAN TO TRUST A POT METAL WELD. DO THE SWAP OVER THAT I NEVER GOT TO, AND YOUR GOOD TO GO. I REALIZE THAT IN HER UNFORTUNATE CURRENT CONDITION WITH WORK TO BE DONE THAT I WILL TAKE A HIT ON THE SELL PRICE, SO BEFORE I HEAR ANY CRYING ABOUT HAVING TO DO THE WORK, YOUR GETTING A SICK BIKE WITH SPORT PROVEN COMPONENTS, PLUS A CLEAN FRAME AND TITLE WITH A SOLID RUNNING MOTOR. THAT IS ALL YOU NEED TO HAVE THE BADDEST BIKE ON THE BLOCK. SOLUTION IS SIMPLE. IF ITS TOO MUCH WORK, DONT BID. THE 2001 750 (BIKE PICTURED) CURRENTLY HAS A TEMPORARY FIX TO HOLD AND HAS BEEN WORKING WELL, ALTHOUGH I DO KNOW OF SOME STRESS CRACKS. BE ADVISED THIS IS NOT A LEGAL REPAIR AND THE FRAME WOULD BE CONSIDERED TOTALED AT THE DMV. TO MAKE THIS BIKE LEGAL YOU NEED TO MAKE THE FRAME SWAP. I HAVE SEEN IT DONE IN A DAY, MY DAY JUST HASNT COME YET AND PROBABLY WONT ANY TIME SOON. I PERSONNALLY HAVE HAD THIS BIKE IN ITS CURRENT "SUEDO REPAIRED" STATE IN THE HIGH 170+ MPH AND THE FEELING WAS TIGHT AND SMOOTH AND DECELERATION WAS GRADUAL AND CLEAN WITH NO KICK OR THROW FORWARD. MY PLAN WAS TO DO THE SWAP AND PUT IT AWAY IN STORAGE, BUT I HAVE TOO MANY PROJECTS AS IT IS AND NO TIME SO I SHOULD LET SOMEONE ELSE ENJOY HER. I AM SELLING ENTIRELY AGAINST MY SELFISH WILL. COUNTLESS HOURS, MONEY AND LOVE HAS BEEN INVESTED IN TO HER SO FAR, IN KEEPING WITH REGULAR OIL/AIR MAINT PLUS ADDING TONS OF AFTERMARKET PARTS. ALL BODY PLASTICS ARE IN GOOD SHAPE. I REPLACED BOTH BODY SIDES, THE FRONT COWL, FENDER AND REAR SEAT PLASTICS ARE ORIGINAL SO THEY DO HAVE SOME SCRAPES. TANK AND FRONT/REAR SEAT ARE PERFECT 100% IS IT RIDE-ABLE NOW? YES. LEGALLY? NO. MAKE THE SWAP, AND YES AGAIN. BUT AS FOR CURRENT RIDE AND PERFORMANCE, I JUST WENT FOR A RIDE 4/1/11 AS I PULLED HER OUT OF STORAGE, AND SHE AS ALWAYS RAN PERFECT.
