Up for sale is my 1959 Mercedes 190sl. As you can see from the pictures, restoration has been started, car is in primer, needs a sanding and a final primer, than paint. The engine and transmission were completely taken apart, inspected and rebuilt. The front end has been completely rebuilt also, with new bushings, new brake lines, brake shoes re-lined, drums turned, new brake master, brake booster taken apart, cleaned and rebuilt, brake cylinders taken off and rebuilt by White Post Restorations in Virginia. I have a new rubber kit, muffler, new Mercedes Emblem for the front hood and a new 190sl emblem for the rear trunk lid. Currently has five new tires and inner tubes. The car was stripped down to bare metal, all the rust has been removed, patch panels put in where needed. The gas tank was removed, cleaned and re-sealed. I do have the convertible top and hard top with the small rear window for the car. When I purchased the car, I was told that car had been sitting for 20 years in her back yard, her son owned the car, and had a accident and never fixed it. The car was painted a dark green, but the color code states it should be Strawberry Metallic db543, the dash and rims have been painted the Strawberry Metallic. Also, most of the chrome has been re-done, has the original PH-44 Solex carbs.
