Ok what I have here is a 1963 Ford Galaxie 500. This is a 4 door car but is the hard top model so no posts (see pictures). I have owned this car for 5 years and have put a lot into it (see below) but I am looking for a new project. Since I have owned this car it has been stored in my heated building every winter and has been babied. This car has the 352 V8 engine (same block as the 390) and very powerful. It also has brand new dual exhaust) This is what I have done so far: Engine has been refreshed. New paint New Spark Plugs New Spark Plug Wires New Belts (all of them) New Hoses (all of them) New Cap, Rotor, and points All new fluids New Air Cleaner New Oil Filter New Gas Filter New Gas sending unit (notoriously bad in these cars) New Battery New DUAL exhaust (sounds really nice) Interior has some up grades New door panels Newer carpeting Exterior Brand new tires (less then 100 miles) New wheels New Bumpers All glass is intact with no cracks or breaks. Brakes are power assist and this is an automatic transmission that shifts and runs excellent. Paint looks decent but could use some touch up here and there (see pictures). Of course with any, almost 50 year old, car there are some issues but they are minor. The rear taillight on driver side has small break (they sell them new). The window cranks on the passenger side (front and back) need to be replaced (very inexpensive). The turn signals come with the car but have not been re-installed with the new bumpers. I have taken many pictures and included them in this listing to show the car exactly as it is but if there is something you would like a picture of please ask before you bid. If you have any questions please ask before you bid. I have sold this car twice on Ebay last fall and neither bidder bothered to show up. So I would like a $500 non-refundable deposit at the end of the auction and then cash (CASH ONLY) in hand when you pick the car up. I will hold the car for a week (unless other plans are made) for pick up. Please bid only if you have the money and intend on buying the car. If you are looking for a nice cruiser and car that you can show off without breaking the bank then this is the car for you! NADA Guides lists this cars value (with the 352 V8) at $4,500 but if you include the over $3,000 in upgrades I have done the price is much higher. I am looking to sell this car at a fair price (under NADA Guides value) so I can get to my new project right away.
