Vehicle Detail
73 FORD LTD This auction is for a absolutely beautiful 1973 Ford Ltd. I bought this car last summer from a 83 year old couple that bought the car five years earlier from his 95 year old aunt in North Carolina. She had bought the vehicle new and when they bought it from her five years ago the car only had 26,000 original miles on it. I got the car with just over 40,000 miles on it and put about 9,000 miles on it last summer. The car is as nice as the pictures appear. I wouldnt hesitate one moment to jump in it and head across the country. The Title for the car is free and clear of any leans. It is in the name of the elderly man who I bought it from. I left this so the new owner can see the title when he transfered it from his aunt is marked 26,XXX ACTUAL miles from the DMV. The car is totally rustfree. The car runs and drives excellent. I put new radial tires on it, new shocks all the way around. The front shocks are the best sensitrac shocks from napa and the rears are air shocks, to get the back end up to level. It has new single exhaust on it. The engine is a 400. The trans is a automatic. The car has air conditioning however the guy removed the belt because his wife would always turn the air on high and the cold air hurt his legs so he removed the belt and told her it had broke. He cant find the adjustment pulley for the a/c belt so that is the only thing missing to get the air working. I put about 9000 miles on the car last summer and it is a absolutely lovely car to drive. Not that it is a super muscle car or anything, but it is just such a nice old car. If you keep your foot out of it you can pull just about 20 mpg. The original owner had made the seat covers that are on it now. They are fastened on the seats very tightly, I looked under the front cover as much as I could and it looks as nice as the bottom of the rear seat that you can see in the pictures. The paint is very nice for as old as it is, it shines nice and looks good. There are some spots on the edges that the paint has wore thin or through, but there is no way I would repaint this car. It is just in way too nice of original condition. When I first bought the car, it was going to just be my car that I drove every day all year around. But after driving the car last summer, there was no way I could drive the car in the northern winter and have it be exposed to the salt. The car was Ziebarted when it was new, but the car is too nice to have the salt do any damage. You just dont find them like this any more. Other than that, I dont know what to say about this thing. If you are looking for a nice old car to drive and not spend a ton of money, this is a very nice ride. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. I have a bunch of pics, so if there is something else you need to see, just let me know. I check my messages many times daily, so I will get back ahold of you right away. If you have little or no feedback, you must contact me before bidding or I will cancel your bid. I have been forced to do this by the few bad seeds that ruin it for everyone. I understand there are new people and that is fine. Just contact me with a phone number that I can reach you at and I will call you to verify you are a serious bidder. The buyer is responsible for all shipping expenses. I will assist any way I can on this end. I would have no problems driving this car anywhere, so if you need to fly in and drive it home I would do so with confidence. You can bid with confidence, check my feedback and you will see that my goal is to have a happy customer. It is not worth it in any way to mislead anyone. As for payment, If you are picking the vehicle up, it must be cash. I will not let the vehicle leave until all funds have cleared. So a bank wire transfer is the desired way of payment for the vehicle. I require a $1000.00 non-refundable deposit within 24 hours. The remainder to be paid within 72 hours. Please dont bid on this vehicle unless you are ready and the funds are lined up already. Thank you for looking. Again, you can bid with confidence, my feedback speaks for itself. I havent sold much on here for a while but I am getting ready to list a bunch of stuff. I am moving to the Florida Keys in two years and have to downsize massively as there is just simply not enough room down there for all the stuff that I have. Thanks again and have a nice day. This car is for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end the auction early.
