Here is a very, very rare opportunity to purchase a finished, hand-crafted 2011 Rapier SL-C Superlite Coupe, manufactured by Race Car Replicas in Detroit and distributed by Exotic Rockets Worldwide. Originally listed at $139,000 this car was built as a demo but is now being sold in New Condition with NO RESERVE!! That's right, you read correctly, we are selling Chassis #002 for NO RESERVE, winner takes it all. [Please note, car is listed as a year 1980 but it was completed in 2011 as it does not have an appropriate VIN number.] This demo/show car has many upgrades including Carbon-Fiber Rear Wing, Front Spoiler and Side Skirts as well as a complete Carbon-Fiber & Leather interior upgrade package. Also includes a Carbon-Fiber roof-liner (not shown). This Rapier also includes a custom built, ice-cold Air Conditioning system. It's just too beautiful too imagine and the pictures do not do it justice. The fit and finish is very good for a hand built vehicle and a tremendous amount of attention to detail went into the build of this unique car. Speaking of Unique, the Rapeir Superlite Coupe gets a LOT of attention. Be prepared for taking your time when you drive her as EVERYONE is going to stop you, ask questions and take her picture. I have personally been blessed several times over and have owned and driven many exotics including a Ferrari 360 Spider and both a Lamborghini Gallardo & Murcielago and the Rapier turns more heads than bot h put together. She is a visually stunning car with performance to back it up. But when it comes time for any repair work, it won't cost any more than a Chevrolet Corvette! And that's where the real savings comes in. The Rapier SL-C takes many of its innovative design concepts directly from proven race-car engineering. For example, the suspension is by Indy-style pushrod-actuated coil-over shock units the rear ones of which are arranged longitudinally. Exceptional engineering and high quality components puts the Rapier SL-C on par with other exotic cars costing much, much more. The SL-C combines very light weight with the rigidity of a track car, which in turn offers the finest driving dynamics and maximum safety. The Rapier Superlight is one of the safest yet most agile exotics in its class and almost every component has been handcrafted using space age materials. The use of Chevrolet/GM Performance LS Series Powerplant's mated to the Ricardo GT Transmission means your vehicle cost of ownership is kept very reasonable and affordable over time. The vehicle is 99% completed ,there are only a few very small punch list items left to be completed in order for the car to pass inspection and be 100% street legal including: installation of side mirrors, turn-signals hooked-up, horn and wiper package . There is some wear on the Front Tires, but there is still plenty of life left. The rear tires are brand new with less than 25 miles. The car has been test-driven, so while it's in near showroom condition I don't want to represent the car as benign PERFECT in every way. Of course any demo car is going to have a few small nicks but there is nothing MAJOR to disclose, or I would do so AND show a picture. But, I always feel it necessary to point this out, as there are tire-kickers out there that will holler, kick and scream AND leave nasty feedback... so it's worth mentioning that of course there are going to be some small wear marks. But both inside and out, there are no cracks, paint peels or dings, or any type of fabric tears inside. Car has never ben titled so it's ready to be put on the street in all 50 States. The builder of the car certifies that the car is street legal once the remaining items we listed are completed. Depending on the particular regulations of your State, the Rapier SL-C may be titled/registered as one of the following: A 2011 Rapier SL-C Superlight, a home-built/Kit Car or a Modified Chevy Corvette.
