Vehicle Detail

This car is located in Southwestern Virginia, near Roanoke. I am relisting this car, as it didn't meet the reserve on the first go round. Reserve has been lowered, as my dad has passed away and my mom doesn't have any need for the car Up for sale is a clean, unmolested 1960 Chevrolet Impala Bubble Top Sport Coupe. My dad owned the car since 1984 and was the 3rd owner of the vehicle. VIN: 01837B206606 0- 1960 18--Impala 8cyl 37--Sport Coupe B-- Baltimore plant 206606-- Serial Number Cowl tag-- Trim: 873-- Red and White Cloth and Vinyl interior Paint code: 936A-- Ermine White with Tuxedo Black trim on exterior Car was built in the Baltimore plant, sold new in Rocky Mt VA and has been a VA car since. Has been garaged stored for the last 26 years. The car was repainted in the correct Ermine White in 1994. The interior was completely redone in 1994, with date and vehicle correct materials. New trunk liner was installed at that time as well. Included with the car are new trunk side panels, carpet liner and carpet. Just never got around to installing them in the car. This is a non-power steering, non-power brake car. The car is equipped with fender skirts, dual rear antennae and chrome tailpipe tips. This car is equipped with a numbers matching 283 V-8 2bl engine and a 2 spd Powerglide automatic transmission. The car runs and drives well. The engine needs a tune-up, as it has only been driven 2-3 times over the past year or so. The body is solid. The frame is solid. Floor pans are solid, quarter panels, rocker panels, hood and trunk are all solid. There is some surface rust in the trunk, as shown in the picture. There are a couple of small spots starting to bubble on the rocker panel on the drivers side and the bottom of the drivers door, as shown in the picture. A few small rust circles showing on the bottom of the passengers door, as shown in the picture. The rubber seals on both doors and the trunk will need to be replaced. The paint is in very good condition-- no fading, no cracks, no rock chips on the hood. No cracks in any of the windows. The two small vent windows on the doors have some bubbling in them, as seen in the pics. Odometer shows 96,999 miles. Actual miles are slightly over 97,000 as the speedometer stopped working the last trip in the car-- about 45-50 miles. There are no missing pieces on this car. Everything is there. The body is straight and solid. The bumpers still shine. The trim is solid, with some small dings here and there, due to the age of the vehicle. This is a very solid car that would take a minimal amount of time and money to turn it into a show quality car. Buyer responsible for vehicle pick-up or shipping. Seller will help with shipping arrangements if requested. Thanks for looking and happy bidding!!!! I reserve the right to end the auction early, as the car is listed locally for sale!!!!!!!
